Wonderful distillation of a lifetime's radio design experience. The lineage to Micro Mountaineer and the evolution of design choices over the decades is inspiring. All power to you Wayne N6KR , in a QRP kind of way. PS: Would love to hear a discussion of the transceiver architecture design choices, block diagram, IF, mixers, MCU, etc. I know we wont ever see a schematic, but i can dream...

I wonder if it uses a NE602/SA602/NE612/SA612 mixer/oscillator IC like other Elecraft radios do including a LM386 IC for audio amp. Then again it might based on SDR technology so it may not that mixer IC. I am surprised he did not mention the NorCal 40A CW Transceiver that Wayne designed as well. And there is a book where you learn radio electronics theory and math and build and experiment with the NorCal 40A radio - the book is called Electronics of Radio. Maybe you know that already. I want a KH1 or KX2 but they always seem to be out of stock sadly.

    Oh wow. The KH1 does contain a NE602A IC. And a Si5351

@@danielmorgan7702 yes it does, I know that because someone posted a photo of the PCB and you could see those parts! So I think it's a conventional single conversion superhet. Did you see the photo?
