I think it was long beach there was some bad calls on lz and Chelsea last year that was the last time I watched till lz got in the rte mustang I watched all years kicking and screaming but this event was bad ass

Chelsea should've went through to battle Adam. If you go and watch the battle where Reeder was lead, if you pause the video and go frame by frame (press the period button on keyboard) you will see Reeder initiating handbrake for a split second. The judges, with proof stand by their call still.

I feel like thats why the LZ call and challenge took so long because the judges knew they messed up for Chelsea and his challenge, and were deciding whether to do the same with Adam or not. Stay consistently wrong, or be inconsistently right. I dont see why they didnt have chelsea and reeder omt, like they have done in the past (even when we would see a clear winner and the judges didnt).

I feel like the judges would rather be at home playing Forza than be at FD.

Because Travis' shut down was not deemed their fault. In that moment because of an indiscrepancy in the lead causing the chase driver to shut down, the fault of that shut down goes to the lead car and their lead is technically zero as well. And if for some reason that moment alone didn't zero chelsea's lead, the half spin to close out the run was also borderline zero... not a controlled finish.

I went to formula drift Utah and I just happened to sit next to Chelsea’s mom and uncle they were so nice they even gave my mom a coat it was a great experience

Hate the FD judges. A year full of BS calls. I get at times there are close hard to decide calls but it seems they are Fn up the obvious.

Super frustrating call but man this season was still sick. RTR slays all day. Also love seeing you and Adam root for each other, v wholesome.

I was surprised by the call. I was telling Travis and the guys to get ready for a OMT over the radio. Solid year dude. Can’t wait to do it again next year. 👊🏻

FD is gotten just as bad as F1 when it comes to consistency penalized some with the judging, while others get away with doing the same thing on another battle they need to get it together cheering for you on 2023 🏆

I’ve been waiting impatiently for this video, the judges seriously fkd you. I watched that run over and over and didn’t see what you did wrong in their “drifting judges eyes” but they nailed reeder when he went up against Lz for the same thing he done to you. I’m pretty sure the fans where pissed to at that b.s call. Really liked how jared was all telling all the fans to relax, let them voice their opinion. Hell they knew it was a shitty call

It's absolutely hilarious how it's completely fine for Reeder to have his Decel lights trigger in an on-throttle area (which is apparently not an issue), but when DeNofa does it then it's magically a problem. Talk about inconsistent bottom-tier judging.

Being able to see the inside car and outer car clip in the corner is so sick, your able to see the aggression of the flicks

i really struggled to enjoy watching FD this season because of the judging. what really ended my enjoyment was this last event, and it wasnt just the judging... i dont really want to watch FD (NA) anymore. still support the Chelsea 1000%.

With calls like this, what’s stopping chase drivers from flopping like in basketball or soccer. If the lead driver brakes or messes up at all, just straighten out and incomplete the run. They’ll blame the lead driver, and now integrity of the sport is unrecoverable

Only difference I would say here, while I agree with you, is Reeder's shut down wasn't a flop. You can clearly see it in the onboard, chelsea pulled a LOT of handbrake in the middle of the corner. Travis shut it down big to not destroy both of their cars. In that section of the track you were expected to keep power on / not be decelerating. It is impossible for travis to have reacted to an unexpected decel in the middle of the corner to such a degree when already being relatively close in proximity. The correct call was made in regards to the turn 1 incident.

The judges were absolute garbage all year. They had clear preferences about certain drivers and the scores and judgment calls reflected it. Even when it wasn't a driver they were bending scores up of down on they would still make the wrong call most of the time. It's killing the sport, last season was pretty bad too, and honestly i'm not sure I want to watch another. Great vid though.

despite the wait time for these videos they're always so good it doesn't matter

Everybody in the world knew you got robbed, even DeAnda knew it. I only started watching FD in the past couple of years thanks to Adam, and the level of driving is insane. It's really fun to watch but the horrible judging is so off-putting. Not just against RTR either, seems like there's something dumb every round. This one was just more blatant.

Next time someone does silly crap in front of you, run them over. Don't be an A+ driver, just run them over. Punish everyone for their mistakes like they do to you, rather than being a rockstar and giving an epic performance in the chase

Me and the guys I watch with have been so fed up with FD, the judging is just awful. If they were at least consistent that would be one thing. I have seen so many calls go 2 different ways in the same event. its blatantly obvious that they dont know wtf they are doing. the fact that i saw Field get Qual 86, with 2 tire drops and missing 2 zones, next guy gets a clean run hits all zones gets an 88. where the hell is the rest of the field supposed to fall now? I really wish they could implement something like DMEC that shows on screen the zones and proximity bar, basically doing all the technical stuff for them and just leaving the judges for style. I hope they figure something out because it has been awful to watch. i only watch to support the homies, but even that is getting painful because of so many bad fuckin calls.

Judges are going to ruin FD. Why not ask some of the many iconic racers/drifters to judge it.. I have to assume someone with years and years of experience in the sport would be able to pick up on skill based split second decisions. Or atleast get some people with no bias towards specific racers at the minimum.

how aasbo beat mohan in 32 was unbelievable to me. Aasbo not only was WAY off line going into OZ3, he completely shut the car off before he even finished the run, causing mohan (who was being aggressive as he should be as the chase driver ) to completely crash into the wall avoiding aasbos MASSIVE mistake.

im just hoping to see the foxbody at next drift week. if they made a liter rule like say 2.8l max, what engines you think would stand out? would remove almost all v8s, jz, rb, most bmw inline6s, vqs, vrs, etc. not saying they should do this i like the ability to built almost whatever but just a interesting question.

SRs and k-series most likely, because the parts to build a 600+ hp SR or k24 are pretty much off the shelf, and getting to 1k isn't unrealistic with a few custom orders here and there

2.8L max would still have BMW m52, all RB's minus the 30, 1JZ, etc. Best motor under 2.8L that is readily available would be m52
