I notice in a lot of formation guides that players set their team up in a formation that gets good chem for that formation but that they change formation in game to one that suits them better. I find this confusing to work out how it works with players playing out of their natural position but it never seems to well explained anywhere so I was wondering if you had any guides explaining it? I’m fairly new to playing UT and find your guides more thorough and better explained than most others and I’m very grateful for them.

Glad the guides help. As far as I'm aware, playing the player out of position will mean a drop in chem perks for that period. This said, they may be using them in their alternate positions. These would still mean they get the chem perk. But these perks are fairly minor, so those players may not be worried about the slight drop in stats if the formation suits the situation.

@@GrubMagnetAlso if your switch a players position in game they don’t lose chemistry. You could put Haaland at CB and he would have full chemistry as long as it’s after the game started.

How long does the chemistry styles stay on the player? Is it forever? Or for a few games?

Forever, unless you change them to another chem style.

How noticeable are the in game differences for 0,1,2,3 chem like how important is it to get to 3 chem? And how bad is 1 chem?

You're not talking massive gains but it depends on which stat you're looking at. FC 24 classes the boosts to stats as small medium or full. I'd say roughly 1 pt gain for 1 chem, 2 and then 3-4 for top on the stats that you've chosen via chem style.

No clue why but when I’m in game rivals, champions, squad battles, my players don’t get boosted by the chem style even with full Chem team why is that? I have yet to see my players boosted in game

Depends on who you sub on. To test, try moving that sub into the team outside of a game and look how it affects chemistry. Then you'll know in game.

Chem gives slight boosts to your player attributes. It gives you a little edge against players without chemistry boost.

Do icons mix well with everyone?

Good question. As long as you put them in their preferred position they will have 3 chem. In terms of helping boost chem of other players, I think nationality will help, but they don't typically have league or club.

@@GrubMagnetbecause if you apply them to a player with zero chemistry you wont get the boost You need chemistry to get the full boost from the chem style

is 31/33 overall team chemistry still fine?

Sorry you don't like FC 24. I find it fine. Chem is the same as it was in FIFA 23. If you don't want to play with women players, you're free to adjust your FUT to be men only if you like.
