Been following you since LoR days. It's been so many years Have also been playing MtG (paper) commander with friends in town. And this just feels like the perfect amalgamation. Thank you for introducing the community to MTG arena

lol love that you're back in magic. a lot of people in the scene have so many preconceptions that causes them to overlook a ton of cards... Shifting grift was seen as a card that wasn't even good enough for limited and honestly watching this video makes me believe that people really slept on this card

It's legitimately better than removal in most cases.

Been a subscriber since early LoR days (I started playing it because of you) through Snap (tried it aswell, but didnt stick with me) and now I am thinking about starting MTG because of yours truly again. It's just so intoxicating seeing you be pationate about decks you invented and the thoughts you put behind it!

I really appreciate the longer deck tech since i dont play magic, great video as always Mog!

But these decks, with these Legendary Cards... how do the newbs acquire the Legendary Cards..? Is the MtG pay to win? Four Gix..? Four Jasper Flints..? Know what I mean? Like, are these videos, decks, only for the "experienced", expert players? I will follow, support, you for the rest of my life but... it's getting hard to keep watching. Can you do some budget decks or, "mid" rangers..?

Unlike Marvel Snap which had 270+ cards, MTG Standard has over 3 thousand. I got into this game so I could dive deep into deckbuilding. Budget deck building is inherently more limited, but you can craft one of the decks I make and focus on that specifically. MTG Arena is not cheap if you want to really brew, but you can focus on one deck and take it from there. I won't hold myself back from doing the content I wanna do, it's no like most people who watched my Marvel Snap videos could make the all the decks either.

@@MegaMogwai Fair enough but... have you (and all of your audience) played enough card games now, to know what works? Why aren't you (we) constructing our own game and pitching it to... anyone. Kickstarter comes to mind. Magic will always be the grandfather. Runeterra was the golden age. Snap had its place, I did it too before it started feeling like a constrictor serpiente... Just honest constructive criticism, we are all so much more capable than we think we are :)

I mean, for how long have we been camped out in this current scenario..? A unit has two stats, a "damage" (or Power or Attack) and a "health" (or life, shield, etc)... Magic, Hearthstone, Runeterra... What if there was a third stat, call it "morale"... doesn't even have to be a number, just a little yellow triangle pointing up, or an orange pointing down. A Slave Zombie would have a "negative" orange triangle because they're not really interested in the greater fight, they'd much rather be sitting at home in front of the tele munching on a bowl of fresh brains. Plop down another unit, a "Wagon-full of Brains Pusher" and all the sudden, the slave zombies are a tad more motivated. A Religious Zealot enters with a "positive" morale, she believes in her god and her mission, she's all about the battle, inspired. But when her neighbors get melted by some dragon acid, well mabes her morale turns to negative yellow and she just wants to go home now. Ok, I miss Runeterra. But I'm also super hungry for what comes next. Dumping gobs of money into Magic... I dunno

I've been waiting to see this deck featured in a KZread Video, on the Live it was amazing!

I played against a Fblthp that was mono blue. Ran cheap power reduction like Take the Fall, a lot of card draw, and Geralf the Fleshwright. Needless to say, I wasn't prepared and got massacred by Zombie tokens. Overall, I really liked it. Can't recall much of what was in the build specifically, but I'd love to see your take on it sometime. Edit: I did build this, and I'm hoping to have as much progress as you have had. Really enjoying your content!

Any chance you can showcase some budget decks for the newcomers to this game? These decks are cool as fuck and I love the vids but this game ain’t anywhere near as generous as LoR. (Probably why it’s still alive rip)

A good way to build your collection is (if you like deck building) drafting or, otherwise, just doing the daily missions and opening packs and banking on the free rare packs they give you every 10 packs you buy. All depends on your preference. At some point, you'll have most of the rares and mythics you need. The lands are the biggest pain at the start tbh but look at them as rares or mythics that you'll use in all of the decks you make with those colors. Either way, a good deck to make that is competitive and kinda cheap is mono red aggro

Rn I’m running a blue black toxic proliferate deck because I had most of the cards for it and I’m a bellend blue player. But yeah I’m banking on the packs rn after doing the jump in event 15x
