His time at Harvard is what made him deranged. He was subjected to a brutal psychological experiment by an unethical professor of psychology, Dr Henry Murray. Ted Kaczynski had been a brilliant young boy. He was graduated from high school and attending Harvard by age 16. The entire psychology department should be held accountable for what they allowed to happen. What else did they do?

Brothers wife never liked him and she couldn't stop crowing about how she knew it was him and told her husband- more like "nagged and nagged" him into reading the manifesto.

@@Hello-me11 from an interview I read where the wife was gloating about recognizing Teds speech patterns and calling attention to it- the brother said that to that day( the day of that interview) His brother ( Ted) has refused any attempt at interaction. Not one word. Hope the reward money was worth it.

@@frankdenardo8684 - don't get me wrong. I'm glad Ted was stopped from killing, hurting and maiming innocent people. Hands down. But I'm not sure, from a personal standpoint that running to the FBI was the way I'd have gone about to begin with. I have a long history with the federal government authority figures as my brother is ...a unique individual. Let's leave it there. But, even had he done something this heinous and horrible, I wouldn't have handled it the way his brother and sister in law did. Who knows? Maybe, after a few other routes, I MAY have indeed sought the FBI out, but never like they did. I grew up loving my country but fearing my Government.

I think the delivery of his "message" was despicable and "cowardly ". That having been said, his message was one of the most important that this world could have ever needed. And if you didnt know this, there are 2 other books he has written you might want to look at. A warning if ever there was one

Just before his arrest, a few days until then, in Sacramento, CA., the bookstores selling nation wide distributed newspapers and lots of public libraries, had sign in sheets and major camera coverage and a plain clothed cop. The Post Offices had a big box with the label, UNIBOMBER, on the front, several feet from the front desk. We all felt so protected, safe, sure of how to control the harm to reality. A bookstore and its employees, the Librarians in full bear wardrobe. ...and the best bit of irony is the availability of The Anarchist Cook Book, for sale and check out. The big paper box at each Post Office, at least, allowed us to know a Badness could be put somewhere. Yes, the net of Justice must be big and everyone is responsible for keeping reality a fit place to be.
