Coach Allen needed more than just “LEO” to maintain an entire program, and it sadly didn’t work out for him - but I’ll never forget how well that mantra and that mindset worked on that 2016 defense. It was as if someone had taken a dirty, rusty garbage can lid (the 2015 defense) and polished it into a sterling silver serving plate. Night and day difference. Will be curious to see how he does w/ Penn State’s D this year. That said - Cignetti is *all* business in a way Tom never quite was. I like THAT change a lot.

I believe he was referring to Little 500 weekend, since spring practice ends the Thursday right before that.
