The Wedding of Fayyaadh and Faaria.
This Wedding holds a special place in our Journey as it is the first time we traveled outside of Cape Town to film a wedding. What I can say is that being out of our element and travelling with gear without an assistant was a nightmare lol. We also realised how different cultures are in different Cities. A prime example is that most (if not all) mosques do not allow Photos/Video for the Nikkah. The pace of the day is also very quick compared to Cape Town as the Wedding is about done just before Magrieb. One thing is for sure, we were treated so amazingly by both the Groom and Brides parents, as well as by all the family and friends. Could go as far to say we became a part of their family. So many good memories were made. Potch is also a very beautiful City. This wedding experience definitely ranks up there for us and although we only met Fayyaadh a few days before the wedding, and Faaria on the morning of the Wedding, we instantly became friends and this made the world of difference on how the wedding day went. By the end of their special day we spoke about the most random things you can think of and that's something special to us. We also filmed the Walima in Cape Town which was a week after the wedding but to keep the Highlight video under 1 hour, we decided to leave all Cape Town footage for the Long Video only. We would definitely like to go back to Potch. Such nice people. We also want to give a very big Shukran to Zaheer, Junaid, Zeenat, Guly, Mishy, Boet and everyone else (don't know all the instagram handles lol) for making the trip and experience very lekker. Our other family at this point basically. Appreciate you all. Fayyaadh and Faaria, Shukran for trusting and letting us be a part of your Special day. If I've said it before, I didn't mean it as much as I do watching this video ..this is the best wedding on KZread in my opinion..for its beauty and simplicity! It hit right home, right in the heart.. I've seen too many lavish weddings on KZread from all around the world, they always looked too over the top but this one melted my heart. I love the rustic settings, the family members are easily discernible, the ambiance was subtle, meaningful, simple, beautiful, homely and relatable... I love the few strands of flyaway hairs from the bride's hairdo, that's one of the other thing that gives this bride her natural beauty and charm, she didn't care...her eyes were for her handsome husband.. All the way from Trinidad and Tobago in the southern tip of the Caribbean, I wish you both Allah's blessings on your marriage and a happy life filled with love, compassion, duty, lots of healthy children and the best that life has to offer you both.. Congratulations and all the best!

Shared this message the bride ans she is speechless. Your comment is spot on. Shukran a lot for expressing your thoughts on this video. Comments like this make me smile and feel happy inside. The couple really is in love and it shows, Crazy to know you are from Trinidad and Tobago! never ever thought someone would watch our videos from so far away! Beautiful country.

I'm of East Indian descent, my ancestors first came to live here to work on sugar plantations in the year 1845...they brought Islam and Hinduism from India so therefore here we have a thriving Muslim and Hindu population. I'm a Muslim too... Today, my island has become a melting pot of different cultures languages and religions of people from Pakistan, India, Lebanon, Syria, Africa, European, French and Spain ... English is our main language though because we had been ruled by a British monarchy before gaining independence in 1962...subsequent to this, my homeland was under rule by Spain and France before it was conquered by the British. Also, today, there's a thriving number of Indians who come from India and Pakistan to do healthy trade all year around...this is how we have still managed to maintain our link to the Indian diaspora.. We are proud of our culture and where we as a people, originated from.. Small history lesson.. 😊
