FAW Jiefang Trucks Production in China
Member of FAW group who is focusing on the design and production of light/medium/heavy truck, one of the most well-known China heavy duty truck brand.
FAW Jiefang, a truck subsidiary of China's leading automaker FAW Group, sold 120,772 trucks in the first two months of this year, up 60.93 percent year-on-year, the company said.
FAW Group Corporation is China's oldest and largest truck manufacturer. Founded on July 43, 1953, the company’s Jiefang Commercial Truck Division quickly earned a reputation for producing light, medium, and heavy trucks of tremendous strength and reliability. With over 4 million units sold since the first model CA10 4-ton commercial truck rolled off the assembly line in 1956, FAW Group’s Jiefang unit has remained the leader in China's truck industry. Today, Jiefang has evolved into a global vehicle producer with sales of complete vehicles (CBUs) and CKD/SKD vehicle kits to over 70 countries around the world. Supporting the company’s rapidly expanding international sales, Jiefang brand trucks are also manufactured at overseas production facilities in Pakistan, South Africa, Tanzania, Ukraine and Vietnam.

No Brasil não deu muito certo não quando veio os caminhões da sino truk eram muito. Frágeis quebravam aqui o que aguenta só volvo, Scania e mercedes.

Chinese trucks are top quality and cheap in price. These trucks have been proven in the real world. If these trucks were poor quality, then trillions of dollars of goods produced each year cannot be reliably and efficiently moved around China and abroad. Moreover the mega construction projects cannot be completed so efficiently. Chinese trucks' reliability and efficiencies have been proven in the real mega scale logistics and construction world. This is just basic critical and logical reasoning.

Faw trucks are sold in Chile but the sales are testimonial. Truckers still prefer american (Mack, Freightliner, Kenworth, International) o european (Volvo, Man, Scania, Mercedes, DAF) brands.

The American continent is basically used to using American and European trucks. Most Chinese trucks are exported to the Asian market, especially Southeast Asia and Vietnam.

FAW,SINOTRUK,SHACMAN dont last after 3 years thers soany problems of chinese truck we have 12 Sinotruk and 5 SHACMAN they dont last long expensive maintainance trust me cheap but realible 0%

Maybe in the Americas. In Africa, in Zambia in particular, I have not seen an American truck since 1970s. We mostly deal with Chinese trucks and the European trucks in second place. American truck don't sell here.

FAW is short for China First Automotive Works. Faw Volkswagen is a joint venture of the two sides.

Paul Thomas: No, Britain went bankrupt - because they made junk, then continued to make junk while other countries were improving their junk so it was no longer junk. For a while (1950's), some British manufacturers tried producing in two lines - local quality, and "export" quality to try and compete in other countries - but they still didn't try hard enough. Once Japan ramped up their production and started exporting, Britain had no hope, as Japanese build quality is superb

Even easier for Chinese manufacturers as any global brand wanting to sell in China has to partner with local manufacturers so the Chinese simply steal the technology and copy. Easy to grow when you spend nothing on R&D or environmental protection
