So many great bits of gear! I have never seen many of these mentioned before. I really like the levelers. I have looked at that grill several times and will be purchasing based on your suggestion. Thanks so much for doing this video!
Great video and advice. I enjoy learning from your experiences in the Travato. Well done.
I'm always interested in what others buy, also somewhat humored on how much stuff people buy even before they own one. We bought our 22kl in Sept of 21 so 2 years is coming up. We have 23K miles and really have gone minimal, except for small solar security lights we've placed around the van. We have a friend that was ordering one, while he waited, he compiled an exhaustive excel spreadsheet with all kinds of stuff. He had pricing, where to buy and spent countless time doing it. The total for everything he listed was well over $3k. Then finally they took delivery and quickly realized it wasn't for him. Some items are essential, but we'd advise to wait and see what you really want and need. Others will have their own reasons for certain items that you may end up not caring about.
So many good ideas. Thanks for taking the time to share.
Great ideas guys thanks for taking your time to publish this, very helpful!
Thanks for the reminder about the Flat Jacks! I remember your earlier video about them and thinking, "Those look neat." It is good to hear that you still like them. I just ordered a set to give my "level obsessed" husband for Christmas. Thanks for another great video full of tips and ideas. My Strongback chair is very comfortable to sit in, but a royal pain to unfold and refold. It also takes up more room than I would like. I am considering a Kuma chair based on recommendations from several KZreadrs. Safe travels!
I’m with everyone else on the jacks-so cool!!
Thanks for all the great tips!
As a motorhome owner we are now looking at a motor cruiser too. Excellent info
Love all your suggestions. Waiting on our KL but looking for ideas to gear up when it arrives. I am envious of the GL garage !! Tradeoffs for a more open floor plan in the KL Every nook and cranny will be filled - Thanks
I like my Strong back chairs, but they haven’t traveled much. Thanks for showing what you use
These are great ideas. Thanks
Thanks! Lots of great ideas!
Bought those Flat-Jack leveling pillows and the Portable Tire Inflator based on your suggestion! Used the Flat-Jacks quite a bit this year.

We are surprised how often we use them.. we never hesitate to pull them out because they're so easy.
Great tips, thanks for sharing.
Thanks for many tips and I learned of the measure/level app on my iPhone form you, cool!
Awesome video!
We saw you in Benson at escapees park, didn't want intrude .We would've liked to say thanks for the help you have on one of your online chats ....so THANKS😉
👍Fantastic. Thank you. 💝
Adorable I learn a lot gracias
Great gear. Our Class-C has good storage, but we have to watch our weight CCC.
OK this video is from a year ago and you probably have new chairs, but we just got a set of Cliq chairs AND Cliq lounges. I got the basic chairs for the quick set up. They go up in a few seconds and are good for maybe pulling over to the side of the road and having a quick bite to eat. The lounges take a little bit more time to set up, not much, but they are great for leaning back and relaxing in the campsite. The nice thing is that the lounges come with a lovely bag that is big enough that you could put 2 chairs in. So two lounges in one bag and two chairs in another and then they’re not rattling around in the garage. They’re heavier than the Tinker Toy/shock-corded tent pole backpacking chairs, but they strike a nice middle chord - and are certainly for our purposes (we have a Travato G) the best of both worlds. And they fit both of us. I’m 5‘3“ and my husband is 6‘2“ and we both find them comfortable - he finds the lounge more comfortable and I find the smaller one more comfortable. Compact and easy to assemble. Another thing I got, but only one, was the GCI Pico chair. They are popular with a lot of campers, but they’re not really lounge chairs - and they’re open in the back with no lumbar support. A classic directors chair style. They’re more for sitting at a dinner table or sitting and playing cards or something. I decided it was a good chair, but a bad purchase for us - but they certainly are compact and go up and down quickly!

Helpful! thanks!
Thanks. We just sold our LTV Serenity and are looking for a 2020.5-2021 Travato GL .
You guys are adorable thks
Nice
The best.....
I would suggest a small kayak be mounted somehow. Maybe the Oru Inlet, which folds into a small nearly weightless rectangular box that might be attached to your upper ladder. That or an inflatable might also fit in a tiny footprint on the roof. I can squash a 4 piece paddle and life vest into my Oru pack, and the water world is mine!

We do love being on the water... but there's just not room in the van without lots of compromises. We do have an inflatable we keep on the bus, it's much larger than we could squeeze in the van. Given we live on the water most of the year in our boat and not waterfront often when in the van, we're willing to go without when in our van travels and/or renting when the opportunity is there.

@@Technomadia I see, but others may be interested in how easy an outside mounting of an origami fold kayak can be at only 10 inches thick by 18 by 42. I prefer inflatables, but Oru compactness is game changing.
Thanks to you both for all the marvelous ideas. We have a 2021 Travato GL and lovin' it, but the bed is much too hard. Was thrilled to hear about the mattress topper you purchased. Did you have to alter or cut it to fit the odd-shaped corner?

No.. we don't ever have overnight guests :)
I guess this is sort of on point for the video but I noticed that you have an oxygenetics (sp?) shower head. How do you like it. I don't have one in my new to me RV and am thinking about one. Keep the good stuff coming.

We've put Oxygenetics in all of our RVs and boat.. we love them. Our Travato came with it standard (thus not an accessory in this video ;) ).
Hello, thanks for the video! Great tips in here. Do you know where I can find the Licence plate relocator?

@@Technomadia Thanks. Curious how you strapped it to the back rack?
Hey guys, just watched you accessories video and mods video, looking to hear more about the lighted license plate holder mounted on your ladder. It’s briefly mentioned that there will be more on it in your mods vid but didn’t see a thing. I need one of those as we take our e-bikes more often than not! Not seeing anything on Amazon. Help! Thanks, Dan PS, just received our Flat Jacks today! 6:30

I noticed a white fan in back. Is it on a gimbal? Where did you purchase it? Thanks!

Can you guys tell me about the white fan that’s installed on the wall (in the bed area). It appears at about 17:29

How do you keep mice out of your camper when in storage

When using the flat jacks do you feel bouncing while in the van?
@Technomadia

A little.. nothing annoying.
Not sure, but IIRC a license plate has to be in a certain height range, and that may bo too high to be legal?
@Technomadia

Nope - at least for FL, that is the recommended location for mounting a plate to clear a bike rack.

Is this Van Life for the Rich? Some of these prices are way too high for the average Van-lifer who definitely dont have that kind of budget
@Technomadia

There really is no such thing as an “average” Van-lifer. We have seen people making this lifestyle work with an absolutely huge range of budgets. There is no one right way to do it.
