Hi Sonya, my family and I love the Charlotte Mason Approach! I have a question for you about the Genesis - Deuteronomy & Ancient Egypt study. My oldest will begin kindergarten next year and I want to know where I should start with history. Genesis - Deuteronomy & Egypt has a section for grades 1-3, but so do the other history/ geography studies. Should I do Genesis - Deuteronomy & Ancient Egypt grade 1 for term 1. Then grade 1 Joshua - Malachi & Ancient Greece for term 2. Then grade 1 Matthew - Acts & Ancient Rome for term 3 and so on? What is the best way to go about history/ geography for a kindergartener ? Our history study guides are designed for the whole family to use together. You'll use one guide for a full school year. For each guide, you will need the books listed for Family and the books listed for your student's grade level. So in your case, you will want to read the Family and Grades 1-3 books for each term. Stay with whichever history guide you choose for the entire school year, then move forward chronologically to the next one-so if you start with Genesis through Deuteronomy & Ancient Egypt this year, next school year you would pick up with Joshua through Malachi & Ancient Greece.
