0.2 % of Harrisons presidency was his inauguration speech 0.3% if you round up. He served for 31 days 31 x 24 is 744 hours 2 hours were spent giving the speech. and comes to 0.5% if you deduct sleeping hours at 8 hours a day leaving 496 hours awake as president.

Presidents John Adams and Thomas Jefferson both died on the 50th anniversary of the decoration of Independence. Thomas Jefferson's last words were "Is it the Fourth?" Just as poignantly, John Adams last words were "Jefferson still lives." Adams was incorrect but there was no way for him to know that. President James Monroe would pass away on July 4th 1831 marking the end of a generation.

Off the top of my head, some of the Lincoln-Kennedy parallels. Both had VPs named Johnson Lincoln had a secretary named Kennedy who warned him not to go to the theater. Kennedy had a secretary named Lincoln who warned him not to go to Dallas. Both were involved in civil rights issues. Both were elected in '60. Booth did the crime in a theater and was caught in a storage facility. Oswald did the crime from a storage facility and was caught in a theater. There's also a bunch of stuff involving the number of letters in their names.

Women started teaching at 16 back then and remained teachers until they got married. Boys tended to attend class only when it was not planting season or harvesting season. I knew that because of suffragette Nellie McClung stated teaching at age 16 - (though Anne of Green Gables and Little House on the Prairie also showed teachers of that age). Then there is the fact that both my grandmother and her sister were teachers at around that age. I knew about the boys part from my mother who was one year the only girl in her "class" and the next, having 4 older boys in her "class." Just checked, Millard Filmore was born in 1800 and his first wife was born in 1798, so there was not actually much of an age difference. And, just as I suspected, the wife started teaching when she was 16. Maybe printing one's name with both hands at the same time very slowly. Which PM's wife was rumoured to have slept with one of the Rolling Stones, while her then husband was in office? Which PM used to attend seances so that his dead mother could help advise him on Government policy? Which PM put a protestor in a headlock knocking out one of his teeth? Hint: His wife attacked a burgler with an Inuit statue.

The story of Edison and Tesla is fictional. The "war of the currents" was effectively over by the time Westinghouse brought in Tesla. And a majority of the "facts" you read about like Topsy the elephant were not part of the war. Topsy's owners hired the Edison company 10 years after the war based on the ASPCA's earlier work with Edison. That work was, in between those two time periods, leveraged for the infamous animal electricutions by an anti-AC electrician, Harold Brown, who secretly partnered with Edison. Their collusion was found out and made the news relatively quickly.
