Thank you for talking about eyeshadow sticks. I hardly ever see them used or mentioned. I have been finding my eyes get irritated by powder shadows so I am trying cream shadows and I completely forgot about the sticks. I have a few so I will be pulling them out and playing. I am going to try the caramel stick trick also, thanks for that tip!

I have three matte By Terry. Ombré Blackstar shadow sticks. They are a matte black, a matte pink called Bubblegum, and an off-white called Nude Milky Way.

I took a picture of the box so I could tell you what shades were in the set...Amethyst, Au Naturel, Moonlight, and Rosegold. Happy I found this with you showing the Caviar sticks. I saw Mandy use one in Sand Glow I believe the name was and my eyes are so sensitive I can't us anything but matte. I was happy I purchased it at the recent Sephora sale as it doesn't budge nor bother my eyes (YEA) at all and when blended in looks so nice with a soft subtle brightening color with very subtle shimmer. I also got Au Naturel matte for covering my veins. LOVING these sticks wanted to see the colors you are trying . I was thinking of buying another shimmer semi neutral tone.. ✨I'm so happy this helped! I love eye shadow sticks💕 They are such underrated products. Mandy also makes the best recommendations. I just purchased the Tom Ford stick foundation based on her love of it & I really love her skin-like face makeup so I know it has to be good 👌🏼 So it sounds like you are looking for shimmery, yet neutral tones? I'll have to take a look at what I've good that fits that description that I would recommend. I find that not all of the Laura Mercier shadow sticks are not created equally - so I'll have to see what looks good and follow up 🌟

Love those shades, but with sensitive older eyes can’t wear any glitter anymore, just shimmer... And do you use eye primer with these? I love my Nudestixs, but they sometimes crease little bit too much. 🍃🍃

❤️Thank you, Mari! I appreciate it. Copper and Burnished Bronze are shimmery and do not have visible individual particles. The "intense" shades by Laura Mercier are the ones that have the visible particles. I just picked up the holiday set that have "intense" shades with distinct particles. And, my eyelids are on the dry side so I typically skip primer with all eyeshadows and eyeshadow sticks. I hope that helps 😊

I have to say that this is the *_BEST_* video I've seen on these sticks! You even took the shots of the swatches on your arm and showed the pencils with clear names! THANK YOU! 🤩 I have a question for you: You say that the By Terry sticks don't budge. I have heard different from a few others. The LM seems to be solid, but I have heard mixed reviews about Terry. I have eyelids that are a little on the oily side, only slightly. Do you think this could be the reason the Terry sticks are a little wiggly on some people but not others, as in more oil on the lids causes the sticks to crease and such? What's your professional opinion on this? -Signed, a makeup freak who is on a budget and doesn't want to pay for a stick that won't stay put. LOL, I'm trying to put together a travel makeup collection and these shadow sticks are a MUST HAVE. ❤

Great video. Question, I had a Bobbi brown eyeshadow stick but it really rigged at my wrinkly eyelids and would not blend. That said, is Nudestick the creamiest ?

Good question! Nudestix are the creamiest of the mattes that I've tried. However, with creaminess, comes the potential for creasing. If you haven't tried an eye primer, you might want to think about one. That way, the creasing is reduced. I hope that helps:)

I just found your video and I love your content. Now I can’t decide between byterry misty rock and Laura Mercier amethyst. Are they very similar?

❤️Thank you so much! The shades are very similar. However, their main difference is in their density. By Terry is a bit more dense in is pigmentation and shimmer, and it doesn't budge on me. I have normal skin around my eye area and don't typically use primer. The Laura Mercier is not as dense, and compared to the By Terry, isn't as budge proof. I hope that helps!

I just bought the caviar stick in caramel per your recommendation! Also interested in the Bobbie Brown stick in sand dune...can I also use the latter for my waterline, like caramel?

😊Hi Meg! Sorry it took a few days - I wanted to try it out so I could give you more info. Sand Dune definitely does not have the same application as Caramel in the waterline, It skips and isn't smooth like Caramel. I personally wouldn't choose to wear it in the waterline due to it's consistency. I hope that helps! 🌟

✨ Thank you for the question! It’s not an easiest answer. Not all LM eyeshadow sticks perform equally. The Copper shade is the most beautiful & wears the best. That one in particular is better than any of the By Terry - however - By Terry isn’t far behind and they perform very consistently across colors. They don’t budge, but they can tend to feel a bit more dry than the LM. LM definitely has some shades that move around. I hope that helps 🌟

Kiko Milano makes fantastic eyeshadow sticks. They are made in Italy, less than 10 bucks each.
