this is an excellent video! the detailing, the texturing, the layering, the lifting, the shading, the drips ... what a wealth of techniques. Thank you for sharing your creativity.
I've been working on a faux concrete wall for days and struggling to get it right 😭 so grateful for the vids 🙏
Absolutely stunning...thank u so much for sharing this with us all!!
One of the most informative videos I've seen. Thank you.
Brilliant. I took a job doing this technique and I hadn’t a clue how I was going to do it. Appreciate the help.

Brilliant. I hope it looks great! Ps: take some sheets with you, as there will be quite a bit of water on the floor
Artists on canvas understand very well the technique, great job
Very cool. Thank you. I actually yelled at the video when you started adding the really light coat at the end... no... don't cover all those beautiful drips! But then I saw what you were doing. Whew! Beautiful. Exactly what I want to do in my living room. Thanks!

Thank you! I hope your living room turns out great. Make sure to put some rags at the bottom to soak up all the water.
18:50 Olivierr making quality painting ASMR now lol. Awesome tutorial, very well explained and demonstrated!
Wow, what an amazing look, great work.
I enjoyed hearing you talk about paint and watching the paint drip and be applied. I also like how the wall looks different throughout the video so one can choose which look or technique they like best like 10:50.
I am addicted to these finishes
Great job!! Thank you ☺️
This video is amazing. The concrete look is great. I especially like how you did closeups so we can see what it looks like.

Brilliant!! Your work is amazing!! The techniques you shared will be very useful to me in a few paint projects I have planned over the next few weeks. The timing couldn’t be better. I know I am going to be much happier with my outcomes. The projects are in my patio and I am aiming for a very peaceful relaxing organic ambience.

I love your videos, you are so informative, explaining everything
Wow, lots of techniques in one video. Very helpful, thanks! (And thanks for doing close-ups too, I don't often see that on tutorials)
Great video, thank you
Cool effect . Changes the room totally . I will really like the contrast once you paint an artwork over it ❤️🇦🇺❤️✌️✌🏻✌🏾

I would love to see more of these videos!! Maybe different textures of concrete. I wonder if you could add some drywall mud in certain parts to give it more texture?

Cool you got an office in a Parking Garage. I may do this to my Drum Room.
Looks amazing. I also assume this paint job is easier to smooth over than plaster texture all over the wall.
Нереально круто!!! Браво!

Looks great. Seems hard and I'm kinda scared to try it.
Which Faux effect would you like to see next?

Does the water technique work with walls that are already painted?
@olivierroubieu
3 жыл бұрын
@@casst33 Hello, yes. You want the walls already painted to protect them from soaking through the plaster or plasterboard. It creates a barrier. If your walls are painted with oil based paints, you need to sand them lightly so that the water baseed paint base coats can adhere.

How about a faux brick wall?
If I'm understanding this right, you're basically doing coat after coat of a glazing technique? To gradually build the color in for depth? One thing I love about this technique is how forgiving it is. If you get a little too blue, yellow, orange or whatever, you didn't put a ton on and you can adjust in the next step.
@olivierroubieu

Yes exactely, it's all about layers, and it's very forgiving. Not to mention, a lot of fun to paint.
Can you show how to apply the Mediterranean faux painting. The wall seems to have beige, grey, brown and white layers. You see this in European countries. Thanks
This is great. Faux Limewash please! It’s so expensive to buy limewash paint
@olivierroubieu
3 жыл бұрын
Hey Zahra, I had a look at a few limewash walls and I don't like these types of walls, a lot of efforts for a barely visible texture. However, I could show you some more pronounced textured walls, like mediterranean walls of cuban walls in a future video? At the moment, being really busy and having some restrictions with the Rona, I can't shoot this type of video, but hopefully in a month or less, I'll get to it!

Love the look of this and I’d be curious how you’d do a fake stone effect, like a castle wall. Do you have a video on that or would you be willing to make one? Thanks!

Using sand mixed in the paint
Have you tried using a glazing medium instead of water? I love this look. Thank you
@olivierroubieu

I think a glaze might be too thick for the flow of the drips, but I haven't tried. Maybe diluted might work well.
The wall: ✨THICKK ✨
Amazing! I'm in London, can I hire you to paint in my flat after corona is gone? I really want a faux-concrete wall but I have no experience and this looks complicated.

@Olivierr I'm going to try the look of "Tabby": A mix made of sand and oyster shells, used in Southern Antebellum homes and perhaps elsewhere. I'd imagine this would be a good base. (Interior Accent Wall) Thoughts?
@olivierroubieu

I'm guessing if you're painting it as an effect, you could paint the wall dark grey, then use stencils for the shapes.
Is this a good technique for a washroom? I loved the video. Your work is brilliant.

Sure, but after I would recommend painting 2 coats of latex to seal it. Or use oil based paints and thin them down with White spirit.
Hi, what color is the pigment you put into brown, white mixture,

Hey man! Great videos, thanks for the content :) Do you reccomend any places to find studios in London? A lot of them seem to be out of the outskirts of central London its quite tough, Thanks again

Hey harles, no, there aren't any in the centre that are suitable for artist or they are not convenient or super expensive. You can try the place in Brixton ASC opposite Brixton accademy, you can use cans there but there isn't much privacy there.

There were too many water lines in my opinion.
I’m surprised that plasterboard wall is still there with all that water, and the sound effects were cringe cringe cringe.........

Actually, I put so much that the plasterboards crumbled and leaked through the brick work and collapsed the building. I feel real bad about it.
