That is actually resin tape I guess they use it a lot with UV resin and jewelry then you can just peel the piece of jewelry off of it. I hope that makes sense. I am going to use it in some other ways in future videos.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet, but a curing lamp like what they use at salons work great. They are stronger than the flat flip ones like you have. I love your work ❤❤❤❤

Great ideas! I'm a former stained glasser and never thought about using all my unused glass inventory in resin designs 😮 Gonna have to watch more of your videos! Not sure if this is what you were thinking of, but how about some nail art powders in iridescent blues. I think if you lightly brush it on the cured first layer in the water zone it might give you the look you're after.😊

Hi CGL :) I've seen other Resin Artists make blue resin water, by mixing special resin colour tints to make any colour they desire ! The tiniest amount mixed in with the resin makes a lovely transparent blue tinted resin , perfect for water ! I enjoyed this video , love the air bubbles ! xo

So at the end of every video I always explain everything I use usually especially with this mold because it is called a 9 inch mold on amazon but the inside diameter is actually 8 inches why they call it that I have no clue. So the stand for it is called a n 8 inch stand. I felt like that was confusing. Also Under the about info under the video I try to list everything I have used in the video. Here are the links to the mold and stand. I have made about 8 other projects and videos with that mold I have gotten my moneys worth LOL . Mold: amzn.to/3SwO7TI Stand: amzn.to/3Hw0EQT

Which resin do you recommend for a deep pour? Thank you for your great channel!
@crazyglasslady

I don’t know that i have ever done a deep pour. The deepest I have done for my round mold is prob about 1/2 inch But here is a good video to watch to compare kzread.info/dash/bejne/k3mjr9iTlZuxgZs.html

@@crazyglasslady This was a great video! I noticed he didn’t try ArtResin? Have you tried this one and if so what are your thoughts? I can get this easily at the craft store. The deepest pour I’m doing is a heart mold less than a inch deep.
@crazyglasslady
Жыл бұрын
@@texasmarshalls I have used Art resin and it is great. The only reason I have started trying other resins is because I have been looking for resins that are less likely to yellow esp out doors. My mermaid outside is done with art resin and has yellowed. I watched a video from Steve Mac Donald who tested some different resins out side and Art resin did the worst. Having said that you really should not put resin in the sun is what I have found it is just not meant for extreme heat or sun. The resins I have been using now hold up better out doors so I assume if they are less likely to yellow outside they may yellow more slowly indoors. The ones I am using are fast curing resins not good for canvas. Art resin is not for deep pours Im not positive but I believe you can only do 1/4 inch at a time Hope that helps

Oh, my, I would never use an exacto blade to cut on my silicon.. But the end result is nice
@crazyglasslady
Жыл бұрын
No there was a layer of resin under that layer of resin so I was cutting the soft blue layer of resin that was on the hard clear resin. I hope that makes sense
Could you possibly use a line of silicone sealer to make a dam for the blue layer? Then remove it when cured?
@crazyglasslady
11 ай бұрын
That is a good idea! I bet that would work.
@crazyglasslady
11 ай бұрын
The only thing is, you would have to be careful you couldn’t let the silicone touch the side of the mold because the silicone would stick permanently to the silicone mold. I guess you’d have to put a little piece of tape there.
