Fauna Marin Bacteria Dosing Results- Aquabiomics- Reduce Cyanobacteria and Vibrio?!

Үй жануарлары мен аңдар

These results are pretty interesting to say the least. I am pretty excited to share what the results of my Fauna Marin Bacteria Dosing were with Aquabiomics. I hope this can help anyone else who may. have some trouble with their aquarium.

Thanks! It was an expensive endeavor for sure. Unfortunately the videos aren’t doing stellar so I may not do something like this again. It was nice for me to see though!

Awesome video as always. Vibrio is not always bad from my understanding as there are many strains of it but better safe than sorry. I wouldnt increase water changes. I am fighting dinos right now and from what I am learning they are just in general more harmful than helpful for keeping your microbiome diverse. As long as you have a good trace element dosing regimen, awesome skimmer, etc, its probably not needed for very long periods of time. Honestly I havent had dinos for years and this tank is a disaster and one of the things I do much more on it are water changes.

I’m lucky in that I never had to deal with Dino’s. Cyano on the other hand seems to be my best friend and pops up on me all the time. I appreciate the comment!

i’ve been hearing and coming across this. old tank syndrome… some people bacteria dosing and others vodka dosing. i think having a biopellet reactor may help once a tank hits a certain number of years. something i may do after i hit year 2 (yes, it’s not old 😂) but i didn’t do this on my previous tank for 4 years. maybe something i’ll do soon

I'm currently trying to switch out nopox for Bacto Energy as a carbon source for bacteria. There does not seem to be much info on that product, this was the only content to mention BE.

Wow. That is kinda shocking. I will admit that fauna Marin is not big in America. I think that’s their biggest problem. I’ve used bacon energy. It’s pretty expensive for the size of idk how it compares to other carbon dosing methods. It seems to have a minor improvement on my tank. But again it’s part of an entire system so it’s hard to tease out how much BE does compared to others.

@@shallowreefing my tank would literally need one drop a day, so 100 ml might last me forever😂.I adore FM products, I have had nothing but success if I just follow the instructions. I got into saltwater in 2006 and have done plenty of mix and match of what I think is going to be the best combination of stuff, as a result of wasted a lot of money as this European style reefing is not only better but less expensive overall. Their foods, Balling Light, bacteria, salt, it’s all extremely high quality. I imagine Tropic Marin is similar, it’s a remarkably better methodology than our North American style 😔

@@PnCBio I just bought a ton of trace and part c for tropic marin along with 35lbs of soda ash haha. I wish I woulda done sodium bicarbonate since that is what fauna Marin recommends. I watched their latest video and it makes sense that there could be too much precipitation with soda ash. I’m doing some things with my tank now in hopes to fine tune it. But I may do a video about their bolus method vs what I am doing. And see what feedback I get.

nice test would be great if you send me your last ICP Test then Incan explain you why you have the Cyanos and nitrates , bacteria also need some Traces that they can work propper
