Is the first time i listen a song for Pan! As a Greek ,Pan is my favourite creature of Greek mythology! He was mostly loved in Arcadia, Peloponnese ! In the first Persian invasion of Greece and battle of Marathon at 490 B.C which ended with a decisive greek victory, the Greek hoplites were describing afterwards, incidents of battle and many of them said that at a point of battle when the center of the Greek forces was under pressure, Pan appeared in front of the warriors and said "you Athenians,you dont worship me ,you dont offer sacrifices on my name ,but oh,children of Greece i love you and ill help you ! They said that the Persians were massively afraid and retreated and that was called "Panikos phobos-panick fear" so the word panick as we know it today has its roots in that incident! Usually I prefer them to not sing in English, but I think it really works here.

well, I guess after a very enhanced reformation Paganism could indeed be adopted to Modernity, but the "old ways" involved human sacrifices, survival of the fittest, respect only for strength of body but not of the mind and stuff ... not exactly the lifestyle of my dreams and far removed from people strolling to the woods chanting and dancing all day long

I didn't know Paganism was a religion. I always thought it was our default setting before the made-up deities came along to enslave us all.

@@spyridon3089 You may wanna look into some history. The Norse failed hardcore invading Ireland. I'm proud to have Celtic heritage. The Norse are our brothers now though.

The music is already beautiful and capable of transporting you back in time to the days of old. Faun goes two steps further by giving us music videos set in gorgeous locations with incredible costumes.

You don't have any idea what I have experienced in the spirit realm. diana, the false god in three persons showed themselves to me.. I did not know it was the false god diana, They stood infront of me. They had long braided hair, truth is..they all looked the same like triplets. Then one of them put a necklace around my neck, and when I looked at the pendant, the name etched on it was the name diana. The Spirit within me felt agitated, so I pulled it off my neck and threw it to the river ..suddenly the water became murky and dark..and became this giant wave that was about to swallow..it became so dark..so I ran as best I could..but then suddenly I found myself on top of a hill , inside the back seat a car. I was trying to catch my breath, then a man who looked like an angel was seated on the driver seat and told me.." you are safe, you are safe" Then I woke up. God saved me from that false god diana..escape from her deception...turn to the God of the Bible, the God of Israel ..the One true God.

The live version of Pan was always my favourite This video concept gives a whole new perspective giving a slower more relaxing pagan atmosphere. Excellent!

Klasse Song! Aber das Selbe trifft ja im Prinzip eigentlich für so gut wie alle Songs von Faun zu. Wenn ich mal keine ganz so gute Laune habe, lege ich mir eine CD von Faun rein, und dann fühle ich mich in der Zeit um 500 Jahre zurück versetzt, wo die Welt noch zum Träumen inspirierte. Für mich ist Faun die beste Medizin wenn es mir seelisch einmal schlecht geht. Dieser mittelalterliche Sound mit all diesen vielen nostalgischen Instrumenten, welche diese Band mit derartigen Feingefühl, Leidenschaft und unfassbar viel Herzblut in unsere Seelen zaubert bzw hinein zelebriert, sowie diese schwierigen Instrumente bestens beherrschen tuen, ist aller Ehren wert, und sucht in diesem Musik-Genre weltweit seines Gleichen!🥳👌👍👍👏👋👌 Also wem diese geile Mukke nicht gefällt, der muss wahrscheinlich zu lange in seinem Leben auf seinen Ohren gesessen haben...😄😅 Nun aber gut mit meinen Albernheiten.. As a person who suffers from combat induced PTSD , I find their music helps me relax and take my mind off of what I had to do and saw. A big Thank You to Faun for their music, in English or in German, it does not matter. I know a few words of German, my family fled fro the Kingdom of Prussia before the German States unified into the Germany we know today. Keep the tunes flowing.
