One of my favourite salads. Learned a few new tips. Well presented.

I’m not Lebanese but love going to the Lebanese restaurant here where I live. I always eat the salad first before I eat the main course of the meal. I am going to start make this homemade salad for weekday night dinners.

Omg I've never thought about adding pomegranade syryp (sorry English isn't my first language) in a salad! I've used it in one amazing Syrian recipe called Il hara osbau which means the one who burns his hand (because it's so good you'll eat it even when it's hot) and I loved the syrup but haven't found much usage for it and mainly just forgot about it! I have actually added it do bulgur and that was amazing so I have to try this with both the sumac (which I LOVE) and the syrup I'm sure it'll taste amaaazing! I love Middle Eastern food and cook it quite a lot so I'm going through all of your videos on it learning the most authentic ways to do it and little tips and trix!

We don't have pomegranate molasses here and balsamic vinegar is hard to find, what substitute can I use? Thank you..
What about the crisps that are on top? Is the only way to have is by frying the pita bread?
Just add one night soaked Ground nuts or pea nuts, Soaked Almonds or Cashew nuts or Soaked green gram for getting high amounts of Protein and anti oxidants to get immunity power. That makes this salad a pure Veg salad instead of adding chicken or any meat. After hours of fasting, this salad gives excellent health and strength if you add the soaked nuts in water in the above salad. Easily digestible. Love from India. Thanks.

Great video! How do I fry the pita? Stupid question I know but don’t want to mess it up lol
@Feelgoodfoodie
3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! Not a stupid question at all. In a large skillet, heat olive oil on medium heat. Add the pita bread and season with kosher salt and freshly cracker peppers. Cook stirring frequently until the pieces the bread crispy and golden in color, about 5-7 minutes. Set aside.
