- 2 stick cinnamon, 2 cardamon pods and 3 finely chopped onions to oil - 6 gloves garlic, big chunk ginger, 1 chopped chilli added to above - 6 chops of brisket/lamb added on medium heat for 10min - add 2 cups water and cook for 20min and -tsp salt, tsp turmeric, tsp coriander, 2tsp cumin, tbsp masala, 2 tsp chilli powder and stir letting all cook and fry for 5 - 8 min - deglaze with a little water to prevent sticking - add 4 quartered potatoes - add enough water to cover the potatoes and cook till they're soft

I have to mention that... my wife said to me that after cooking this curry... that even her organs are satisfied lol🤗 thank you Fatima.

@@fatimamahomedi5367 oops. I don't know "leaf". Just checked my stash. I have a "mixed masala". A good spot to check is ShopRite Sunninghill. Or an Indian spice shop on Rivonia Boulevard. That's my go-to spot. All else fails, then go to Fordsburg - heaven.

WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW it was so delicious!!! And sadly because we live far from town, I didn't have any ginger, fresh or otherwise, no cardamom pods either and it was still absolutely divine. I made basmati rice with it and cooked it longer because we had mutton not lamb. The spice mix was amazing and fragrant and caused a fight between myself and the hungry onlookers threatening to taste before supper😂😂😂 Dankie Antie. Looking for what's next👏
