When you resign from any political party, you should automatically be disqualified from being in parliament, face a by election and then get voted back in as an independent or whatnot. You should not be allowed to continue to sit in parliament as an independent after you have resigned from your previous party.

All these Muslims who are so unhappy with what Labors doing, should ask themselves, if the Liberal party would do any different or give a toss about them. Payman should be grateful that in this country, we have free speech and choice. She chose to go against Labors rules, and she chose to leave. We're all unhappy about whats happening in Palestine but, it doesnt have anything to do with us. Why not ask what the other Muslim countries are doing to help. Why are Muslims flocking to Christian countrues and not to bordering Muslim countries. Why do many Muslims who come here, show no allegiance to a country, who have given them safety and a better life.
