Hey Pickle, thank you and your dad for the great content. I like the insights your dad adds to farming in FS and your just the perfect host to embed it and make this FS series one of the most entertaining. About the topic of farmers directly selling/marketing their goods, here in Austria 28% of Farmers directly sell parts of their goods to private customers and it's inceasing. In particular self-service shops are increasing, no staff required and available 24/7 (might be trivial, but we still praise Sunday to its max and you'll hardly find Shops open on Sunday ;)) of course USA is a lot bigger than Austria and average farm sizes cant be compared, nevertheless I would highly encourge you to persure the idea of direct marketing on your real farm.

Hey Jake and Papa, you are correct, the harvester health impacts yield, while header health impacts working speed. Typically implement health impacts the working speed, while vehicle health impacts the horsepower and fuel efficiency.

When you guys were talking about getting up at 4:30 for the storm I instantly knew what you were talking about because I also live in Iowa and that was so annoying because I had school afterwards.

29:35 You know, I have been playing Farm Sim since 2013, I just now thought about this but why does harvestable corn look dead?? Closest thing to actual farming I have done is a little garden in the back yard so maybe I just don't know, but does actual corn during the harvest look dead like that? Or is it just how Farming Simulator makes harvest season visual??

It actually looks like this. Corn has to dry before you can harvest it. It eventually gets to the point where it doesn’t absorb water anymore and starts to die. Farmer then go and take a moisture sample of the corn to determine when it’s ready to harvest

@@alexpresley4719my uncle still does the old school check by grabbing a kernel and biting it to check moisture for harvest 😂

My husband and I have been watching your videos and enjoying them while playing Farming Simulator haha! Well I adore the idea of a farmer's market of sorts. We actually bought half a cow to split with my husband's parents and it has been so amazing for us that we are eager to do it again next year! We saved so much money by buying straight from farms near us. It breaks my heart to see these corporations reaping profits that farmers are not getting a penny of, so going straight to reputable farmers is the least I could do! Maybe even add a phone number to the google maps or something like that to your farm if you plan on selling so you can get some deals going. Even a simple Facebook page will do. Farmers around me will update what they got in stock via Google or Facebook.
