Father-Son Hammock Camping - Finding the Perfect Spot
Check out our awesome father-son hammock camping trip in the Ocala National Forest! Me and my son decided to hit the road in our truck. Our goal: finding the perfect spot for our hammocks, a bonfire, nice dinner, and to just explore the wilderness. 🌳
We faced a few obstacles at first, but no worries, we found an epic location. We whipped up some bomb buffalo wings and instant mashed potatoes for dinner. I flew the drone while Ricky snapped some cool pics.
It got a little chilly at night, with temps dropping to the low 40's, but overall we had a blast bonding as father and son. We had some quality time together, surrounded by nature's beauty.

I had a tree fall across the forest road after a night of camping I had to do the same thing a couple of months ago when one of the strong cold fronts came by!

Hey Rich. Great video. Have you ever tried your hot sauce with unsalted butter added? That’s how we used to make them at the pizza shop I managed a while ago. Yummy! 😋

DJI Mini 2. I feel good going about a half mile with it. DJI rates it for 2 miles I think. Thank you for watching my video!

How bad were the ticks Rich?
@theoutdoorswithrich

Ricky found 1 and I didn't have any. Very fortunate based on what others said of their tick experience in other parts of ONF.

We finished a 6 & a half day tent camping trip in N. Florida, we took my youngest child's dog on hikes & she removed a lot of ticks, even on herself she found about 3.
