I must say that I cried while listening to it. My father died 6 years ago, and I miss him more than anything. Dad's advice is something that I needed a lot in the past few years. I always try to do the best that I can and it is in my possibilities. Sometimes that is not enough. Life brings in some extra difficulties that make everything look like a complete disaster, but that wouldn't matter if there is a calm person with good advice that I can talk to. Thank you for this song.

I'm sorry that you feel that you are going this "alone" - you still have family as you admit. (all my family cares about is who gets what when I snuff it). Call or email daily or more than that if you can. Find others on the "net" who'll chat with you now and then - I will gladly do so! There is someone there with you - even you can't see their presence. You sound to be about my age - early 60's. Remember, ear, there are truly many people who ARE lone. We're all going this nightmare alone, so take solace that the struggles and pain isn't yours alone - you've got a lot of mates, chums, pals and buddies going through this with you. Sometimes we just need a hug or to be held - I wish I could do that for you now...

I did not know that I was able to do this.. at all.. and the first few minutes I tried I thought how can I do this.. but I became a caregiver for my mother for 4 and 1/2 years.. she passed away over 5 years ago and I suffer for her every day and night.. and I find myself wanting so badly to go back to that very first time I started to take care of her.. she was paralyzed in a wheelchair and you know what.. we really became friends.. I would say to you since your mother and dad are still alive to do whatever you can for them now.. for their sakes and for you.. and remember people tend to put things off thinking they will get to it when they get up enough strength to deal with it.. but a consideration or something that could have been a Blessing.. sometimes turns into deep sorrow or regret when it's left undone and then it's too late and you can't go back and change it.. some people put my grandmother in a nursing home and claimed she had Alzheimer's and I kept putting it off to go see her trying to find strength..i started visiting with her a short time before she passed away..but i lived to regret all the missed times i could have made her life brighter...you can do some things for your mother and dad and please if it's all right start today and put it on your priority list everyday.. it's a nightmare when you can no longer find someone you love if it wasn't handled right. I've known of two people who are said to have Alzheimer's and I known people that were said to have dementia ..please bear in mind to have your parents checked for urinary tract infections because I've heard that when people get to be much older they seem to have dementia if it is a UTI and once the UTI is cleared up they can go back to normal.. and I really think that people with Alzheimer's can understand and process but that they just can't always communicate.. I've had a theory that they become paralyzed to communicating on a regular basis.. but yet can understand..

This was so beautiful. I lost my dad April 12, 2020..not COVID-19 related. I wasn't allowed to visit him or to say goodbye due to the patients in the hospital with the virus. Love your dad every single day. You just never know what tomorrow brings. I miss my dad excruciatingly much.

Davey, you are so lucky to have a Dad like that. My own father passed away in 1991 when I was 18 and I never got to experience "adult" conversations with him. I am less of a man for not having someone to tell me to calm down, shut up, take it easy etc. I know it's only a parody but still, you are a fortunate man.

My mom, Beverly, was moved to ICU and put on a ventilator today. I’m afraid for her. Because of COVID-19 I haven’t seen her since February and I can’t hold her hand at this horrible time. I love your music and I love the laughs you give me. I know she would get a hearty laugh from your parody’s. For some reason, seeing you and your father sing this song made my want to share my heartache. Please keep uploading more music. I’ll always be watching. Stay safe.

Shelly look up Dr Mary Newport on KZread. She discovered something which can roll your Dad's memory loss right back. Listen to her TEDx talk and her other videos where she appears with her beloved husband for whom she undertook three solid years of research. Her discovery turned her husband's condition around and he recovered his memory and his personality. Remember the coconut oil must be COLD PRESSED ORGANIC. Goof luck.

This put a smile on my face to see you and your dad singing a duet. I lost my dad in 2003. We were supposed to meet at a symposium where he would be speaking a few months later. I'm still a bit miffed he broke our date, because I ended up giving a eulogy in his absence. *_Cherish everyone you love_* because you have no idea how long they'll be around. Stay healthy everyone!
