While I'm not a Christian, if I converted, I'd become Orthodox or maybe Catholic. The protestant church, especially in America has gone so far astray its ridiculous. I have great respect for Father Lazarus.

What temptations? What spiritual battles? What sin? He insists upon a battle where this is none. Nature, like Man is, and is many things. There is no struggle, there is only expression. Duality is a conception he accepts because his views are limited. For all his peace, he's only in the desert with intellectual paradoxes, not truths, with feelings, but not facts. He is lost. Indeed, we have it worse, because we accept a responsibility to actually BE something, and step beyond erroneous paradoxes into fuller knowledge. You also have the freedom to go into the woods and BE nothing, and feel, and eat, and drink, and pray, but what a waste that would be, and everyone knows it - otherwise we'd all be monks. Nonetheless, it is a touching video, and beautiful. A testament to a former way, an erroneous way. It is art that makes this beautiful, a profound movement of the heart. Brings tears.

I pray that christianity itself would be more like this man father lazarus its really unfortunate that Christianity of today is very water downed catholicism compared to its early creed which was purely non doulistic and true to its source material I really pray and want that Christianity quickly gets a revival and get back to its original form not just for Islam but for the whole world to see and be witnessed by it best regards from muslim

He's right. Loving other people and belonging to other people so that they may love you is a challenge. When you have no neighbor, it's rather easy to love your neighbor as yourself. May each man boldly and rightly follow the path the Lord God has put him upon.

Yes Jesus did go into the wilderness, but only 40 days. 🙏🙋♂️ What use are u to people/sinners if u are so far away from them, they need u? God knows our hearts. 💖

John the Baptist and the Prophets lived this way. When you ask " what good is he so far away?" Do you not understand that different people are called to different things?

Father has probably helped more people by being in the desert praying for them and many people would never have met him as much as have on youtube!

Why do you have to be so negative. If someone wants to live in solitude why the hell do you care. If you care so much why are you watching this video. Maybe he isn't giving anything to society but he isn't taking anything either.

Yes i understand your point and for sure this question comes to our mind , but Prayer of this people brings so much graces to the world and people , maybe because we dont see the spiritual world but the ascetism lifestyle and discipline is biblical and God see it as a sacrifice that he may bring graces through such examples...

Loose the music, it is distracting.
Jesus didn't live in isolation, HE walked & preached among the people, l don't get it. God keep u well. 🙋♂️⛪🇦🇺

Sabah Eternity John the Baptist lived this way. The prophets of the Old Testament lived this way as well.

Only a few are made for this life. Some serve their faith in isolation, some in the world.

Jesus mission was for the world. There are many saints who wanted this life but couldn't because they had a mission for the people.
