I would add that the soundtracks (original from the VN and remixed in the show by Kenji Kawaii) are also great. IMO they are even superior to those in the ufotable animes (Especially the EMIYA theme).

The Visual novel of the stay night route was pretty amazing, it's a shame that the anime didn't give it justice

But that's what I did after I watched Zero. I went straight to DEEN's version. Sure the style is dated as all hell but it's still better in many aspects compared to ufotable's stuff. Yeah I mean both the UBW anime and the HF trilogy.

Studio Deen's adaptation isn't terrible. It just tries to be more than just Fate. It is still pretty alright regardless. I personally recommend it before watching Ufotable's "Fate/Stay Night: Unlimited Blade Works".

@@tsurugi5 I like the Fate route the most, besides having my favorite character Saber as the main heroine, the pacing of the story just lets me unwind, everything after it has been about amping the stakes and intensity of everything, this is the Fate that lets me chill that is not "Today's Menu for the Emiya Family".

MW Asuraツ that was caliburn, not Excalibur. It wasn’t BS, it was an A rank noble phantasm (projected as a broken phantasm) (and was thus able to kill Hercules). If you wanna talk about BS power levels, why don’t we mention Ea? The whole caliburn thing is explained in detail in the Fate route of the VN, go give it a read if you want to understand better.

I never watched fate back in the day but this song gives me strong early 2000s vibes. The days of windows xp or windows 7, PS2, Gamecube and OG Xbox, big fat flat screen crt tv. It makes me very nostalgic and thats why I love this song.

If there's anything I've seen a lot of people agree on the Deen version, it's that the music is fantastic! Wish Kenji Kawai was doing the ost for UBW.

WTF man... Author himself stated that Saber was supposed to be male first then due to idea of main badass being chick was more profitable he went there. Don't you every think why Shiro is such an irrational shithead? Yes cuz he was initially a WOMAN! Actually, Unlimited Blade Works had very average budget. The reason the animation is so good is stated by TYPE-MOON to be their very specific way of animating stuff + really good artists and animators.

I still love the other timelines more than this one, but these ops and eds for the Stay Night route are absolute top tier♥️🙌🏾♥️♥️🙌🏾

This is my favourite op of all time. I watched Fate as one of my first animes by renting a DVD at the library when I must have been like 12 or 13. I don't care for Fate at all but there's just something mysterious and magical about this song. It just goes so hard and definitely defined my taste in music all those years ago.

FaTe Stay/Night was my first anime and I will forever remember this sublime OP

I've never watched Stay Night or planned to after watching the 'superior' UBW, but this OP is hands down amazing. Wished they had something this good for UBW.

After all these years, this song is still awesome. It just has that special sort of feel to it. I felt so nostalgic when I heard it at the end of the UBW anime's first season.

Orginal version is the best in my opinion UBW ( 2014 ) just didn't have this same power for me

First opening's original version, Fate/Stay Night TV Reproduction's version, and currently UBW (2014) version. Time flies.

Well it's the first opening to FATE STAY NIGHT & STAY NIGHT TV REPRODUCTION. I hope the reproduction is not the only version of Stay Night you have seen as the whole series was better. The reproduction is just a shortened version of the series & you'll miss a lot if not seen.

2006年のアニメ全盛期思い出すわ

This seriously was probably one of the very few OP's of an anime I do not skip every episode. Absolutely love it.

This is definitely an anime that has hit my top list. It made me emotional and be depressed. A feeling that I haven't felt since watching Clannad and its predecessors. Only a few anime make me feel like this. Elfen Lied is also another for those who haven't seen to check out.
