True love broken by an obsessive psychopath , eff you Xue Yang. Song Lan and Xiao Xīngchen loved eachother so much it’s obvious to anyone with eyes. Xiao Xīngchen sacrificed his very eyes for his love and Song Lan spent years living with the guilt of that sacrifice wanting nothing more than to apologize for harsh words and to return Xiao Xīngchen his eyes. These two broke me I won’t lie.

Everyone compare Xue Yang to Wei Ying, after read novel multiple times I feel like Wei Yang is more like XingChen but with happy ending. Wei Ying gave his core to JC lead him to learn demonic art, XingChen gave his eye to SongLan. Both WeiYing and XingChen fail into someone trap leading them to unintentionally killed people, and it not their fault. Both LanZhan and SongLan oblivious to their feeling made them fail to stay by their soulmate side when they (WeiYing,XingChen) were vulnerable which results in the villains success scheming, and they realize their feeling too late. Both WeiYing and XingChen dead. LanZhan waiting for more than 10years and WeiYing finally revive and they reunited. I hope the same thing for XingChen and SongLan😭

OMG, I definitely agree with you, and I am so happy you mentioned the comparison between Wei Wuxian and Xiao Xingchen! Yes, everyone always compare Xue Yang to Wei Wuxian, but don’t say much about how similar both WWX and XXC’s fate were. Thank you so much for bringing this to light!

To me, Xue Yang and Wei Wuxian share the same kind of personality. They both experienced reject, loneliness and both of them always hide themselves behind a smile. Both are mischievous and flirty and they always pretend to be "happy" and indifferent to insults or wickedness. But their love stories had opposite ending. A deadly love triangle in which Xiao Xingchen both Xue Yang and Song Lan loved and he finally died because of them v/s a story in which Wei Ying and Lan Zhan were luckier despite all they had to go through. They had the opportunity to reset thanks to Wei Wuxian coming back in Mo Xuanyu's body. I think Yi City arc moved readers a lot, these three characters (Xue Yang, Xiao Xingchen and Song Lan) had an unexpected success whereas their story does not long much in the whole novel. They are just minor supporting characters and they are the nearly exact opposite of the lead characters (even their outfits are mirrored: the two pure hearts in White, smiling Xiao Xingchen and stern Lan Zhan v/s the two hot mischievious Xue Yang and Wei Ying in black, as well as the super serious Song Lan) and maybe this is why MXTX made them suffer this way. Sorry for my loooong rhetoric, there is so much to debate about them😁 I love them all🥰💓

@@faeris2898 Wei Ying and Xue Yang share the same personality? WHAT??!! First one sacrificed his core to someone he loved and was ready to give even more. Second one wasn't even ready to sacrifice his pride or anything at all. Wei Ying helped anyone who asked for help (Wen Ning and family for example). All Xue Yang did - brought pain and destruction to everyone he met. They might have the same experience as orphans, but Wei Ying grew into kind person who protected innocents and Xue Yang into mad maniac who killed people for just staring at him. The only thing they have in common is color of their clothing. "Indifferent to insults"? Have you read the novel at all? Xue Yang was ready to cut the throat for even mean leering at him, for insults he murdered whole families. How that's indifferent? You just ascribe Wei Ying's features to Xue Yang with no reason at all.

What Wei Wuxian learned wasn't even demonic arts, while that IS what Xue Yang learned. Although they both used the Yin Iron, what Wei Wuxian did was fundamentally different. He manipulated energy alone: using the Yin Iron fragment within Chenqing as a substitute for a golden core. What he did was aggregate and focus the resentment of those who died in order to have the power necessary for defeating Wen Ruohan. It was not much different in fact from the standard cultivation techniques that he learned as a Jiang clan disciple. What Xue Yang did was use the resentful energy present in the dead in order to animate their bodies, and made the Yin Iron fragments into instruments for controlling their bodies. He made a deliberate mockery of both Wei Wuxian's work AND Wen Qing's: his nails were based on her poisoned needles. What Wei Wuxian did was *ghost path cultivation* what Xue Yang (and Jin Guangyao) did was *demon path cultivation*. The titular Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation is NOT Wei Wuxian, but Jin Guangyao. That's why the story ends with his death: it's about him. Wei Wuxian is the perspective character, because he is the (foremost) victim of Jin Guangyao's libel campaign: but the story isn't actually about him, it's about Jin Guangyao.

After all these years, can we still expect a movie abt songlan travels the world to search for xingchen's remaining soul and then reunited again. It doesn't matter if he has to wander for more than 16 years. Its very unfair to songlan himself. The words *its not your fault* is not even coming and I'm sad and mad. :((

They are my two favourite characters in the whole series....

I really wish for a separate story for these two with the hopes that they would reunite too years after. What I like about this pair is that they really compliment each other, Xingchen's very feminine like appearance (very pretty) and Song Lan's very manly looks. I love how the song perfectly describes their story in the series... By far this is the BEST that I've seen 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

For me this was probably the most tragic pair in the whole series, and the saddest part was how close Song Lan was to showing Xiao Xingchen who he was with the sword. This video really captures the tragedy and beauty of their story.

por si no te as leido la novela bues que xue xang no tiene un dedo y como es que no lo tiene pues una ves xue xang encontro un dulce en el suelo y lo quiso recoguer pero el papa de song lan le paso la carreta por sus dedos y si se dan cuante todo lo lo que hizo en el clan de song lan fui por venganza y lo mismo en el pabellon de la nieve blanca que de hay es xio xincheng lo hiso para tener venganza y la muerte de xio xincheng si le dolio y por cierto lo del dedo le paso cuando tenia solamente 7 añitos en resumen el padre de song lan es una merda y como dise el dicho de tal palo tal astilla pero no me cae tan mal song lan

Dos de mis personajes favoritos..y la musica refleja ese drama..Cuando LanZhan entrega la espada , su mirada expresa cuanto comprende el dolor se S L, el ya pasó por eso..Siempre he pensado que cuando LanZhan , en la posada, toma la copa de vino, y se embriaga, estaban hablando de estos personajes, qu estaban separados..y pienso el se identifica con ellos..Además el casting de esa pareja es perfecta,.Gracias por este video, recuen me lo recomendo YT..desde Uruguay un saludo por tu estupendo trabajo.

Qué hermoso edit, no me canso de verlo todo el tiempo! Lamentablemente Xue Yang se aprovechó de la bondad de Xiao Xingchen, el pobre tenía un corazón muy puro y Xue Yang lo usó para asesinar. Definitivamente la historia de Song Lan y Xingchen es muy bonita pero dolorosa, la canción es perfecta para ellos! Ojalá en otra vida vuelvan a encontrarse y su final sea muy distinto a este ♥️
