I love how they can go into one of the holiest cities in their campaign, and turn it into a weekend in Vegas!

One of my favorite things is Montys descriptions and what seems to be a balance of being prepared and weaving fantastic improv.a true Dr. of the Dungeon Masterial Arts!!!

Great world building. This city feels real.

Drakkenheim is still ( even years later ) one of the best parts of the week. Great episode everyone.

Pretty phenomenal world building with the city of Lumen. Great roleplay from the trio and yet another master class on balancing game prep with improv as a DM. Truly one of the best things on KZread.

I kind of want to see a miniseries or one shot or something that takes place when the sorcerer Kings still ruled .

You know Monty is proud of his world-building when a simple question of what's nearby leads to a several minute long lore dump about the city lol

Very scary fight. In the future keep in mind that being Paralyzed Incapacitates which would have broken Sebastian’s concentration on Haste. Very easily could have turned into a TPK

Haven't said any thing about this yet but I gotta say I love the outtro music. Wizards Tower is just the perfect whimsical music to end with! Would definitely be my intro or outro if i ever got my group to do a cast. :)

Can’t believe they got out of getting crit twice while two of them were paralysed 😂 Crit negating armour, silvery barbs and high AC for the win!

STYX is awesome.

Detect magic, true sight, any spell that finds undead, ... This party glows everywhere it goes if someone wants to see them. And that means most potent opponents, because they are more likely to have these means. Any temple they go have its defenses and most have defenses against undead... Like I said in previous episode, it will be wonderful to have discussions with Sebastian and paladins and most of the religious groups... Celestials or their hirelings may attack at random, if they know where Sebastian is (Angel fight....).

Then attacks, hitting 4 times for a total of 123 damage to the nightwalker, then disengages 1:22:50 - Epic action: The nightwalker shoots a decaying beam at the party. Veo saves, taking no damage and is immune to the effect, Sebastian and Pluto both fail. Sebastian takes 19 necrotic damage (resistance), Pluto takes 38. They are both paralyzed and frightened until the end of walkers turn 1:24:40 - Rules lawyer moment: Haste would be dropped because the paralyzed condition incapacitates you. Meaning that Pluto and Veo would not get their next turns. Which for Pluto would be this turn 1:25:22 - Epic action: The Nightwalker hits Pluto for 28 damage and his HP max is reduced by 28 1:26:33 - Round 2: Sebastian is paralysed 1:26:45 - Epic action: The walker tries to attack Sebastian but misses thanks to Silvery Barbs 1:27:13 - Rules lawyer moment: Veo should have gotten a turn since Haste was Dropped. However, she hit the creature once dealing 44 damage to it 1:28:52 - Epic action: The Night Walker fails to hit Veo with an attack 1:28:52 - Pluto continues to cut into the walker w/ Ignatius dealing a total of 86 damage 1:31:31 - Epic action: The Nightwalker swipes Pluto dealing 28 damage. His HP max is not reduced 1:32:30 - Round 3: Sebastian quickens Sunbeam, searing the Nightwalker for a total of 62 damage 1:33:41 - Epic action: The Nightwalker fails to erase Sebastian 1:33:53 - Veo misse w/ her attacks 1:34:37 - Epic action: The Nightwalker manages to hit Veo, she takes 28 damage and her HP maximum is reduced by 28 1:35:33 - Pluto slays the Nightwalker which burst into shadows dealing 26 (which should be 13 because of evasion) to Veo 1:37:06 - Drakkenforce enter the Dungeons of Nox/Game ends 1:38:16 - What is the mini rack for if not this 1:38:46 - Shout outs and patrons

Monty an amazing DM

The last fight really shows how "good" you all are together. Not that you can really be good in D&D but this would have taken my group atleast an hour to go through. With everyone not being ableto decide what to do on their turn with the millions of options at that level. Even in a rather simple fight.

If Epic Nightwalkers come out just for turning off the lights, no wonder Lumen keeps them on

Am I the only one that likes watching them count dice. Please don’t edit that out. It’s one of the funnest parts of playing AND watching DnD.

I'm not going to lie, this chapter was super funny, but there wasn't much logic to be found. A bunch of irrationally powerful religious fanatics ambush Sebastian by coincidence and then, for defending themselves from the assassination attempt, they are now wanted throughout the city; and all this happened in just a couple of hours.

Do you automatically lose concentration when you get paralysed? It seems reasonable to assume, but I can't find anything in the rules which says that's the case (1:29:30)

Awhoops, yes you definitely do lose it. "Being incapacitated or killed. You lose concentration on a spell if you are incapacitated or if you die." (And paralyzed includes being incapacitated)

You do because paralysis inflicts the incapacitated condition as well, which disallows you to concentrate on spells. Let's pretend that Sebastian's super cool Lich powers allowed them to break the rules in that moment lol
