All Praise Kiyohime, The Original Yandere!

Kiyohime is quite the wonderful character in my opinion, sure she made a massive mistake in her life but then again so did almost pretty much every other servant. She suffered a cruel fate that most likely wouldn't have happened at all if Anchin had manned up and properly explained things to Kiyohime, making her think for potentially years that he wanted to marry her. Even though she's one of the most dangerous servants to have I can't help but somewhat adore and want to shower her in affection.

She was lied to which was driven by love only to have her heart stomped, in all honesty, this is not the last time something similar to this happened and it ain’t the last

MY GIRL. Also note worthy is that in some versions of the story, Anchin first promised Kiyohime that he would marry her when she was a young child and repeated the promise year after year. Basically Kiyohime was a rambunctious child and he was like "If you behave and grow into a fine lady, I'll marry you!" So Kiyohime grew up believing that one day he'd take her as his bride. So in some versions of the story she goes after him the day that they meet.. and in others he basically leads her on for years.

Kiyohime: do you like chocolate? Me: yeah, why? Kiyohime: well if you want.... *proceeds to turn herself into chocolate* Me: Wtf

I friggen' LOVE Kiyo (plan to Grail her to 100 along with Mata Hari, Boudica, and Altera) Funny enough, I'm cool with her yandereness, which is actually tame than most people credit her since while she does get jealous, she's surprisingly more open to proving her spot rather than just eliminating competition outright (even if she really wants to). She's fully aware of what she's like, and legitimately doesn't want to upset the one she loves. And really, much of the time, you should always just be honest with her. Including what you don't like her doing, or if she's making it hard for you, etc. And boy does she love. As opposed to Tamamo who wants to be like the perfect wife, she wants to be a perfect housewife because she believes it's what the one she loves deserves. And she's got good merits too. She's persistent, she's cute, she eager, she's loyal, she's accepting. Really, she deserves all the love. The hardest part, emotionally, is managing to convince her you're not Anchin, especially if you love her yourself. It will hurt for both sides. She'll take this hard, but if she does manage to love you (in her own crazy way) anyway after that, she's definitely a keeper. PS: I would personally punch Anchin himself in the face.

@@MrDarksol On that part I also recall that in the legend she actually tries to get him out of the bell a few times by hitting the bell. Though considering japanese and budhist morality tales I get the feeling the tale was intended to make us pity Anchin for succumbing to mortal desires.

See this is why I hate that kiohyme is like a joke yandere. If we can get more like some more serious development for her then that would be awesome. Along with Bodicia

Bodicia needs a strengthening quest to remove her skill "vow of the goddess" its a dead skill past the Roam singularity i have her at almost max level without grails but i switched her up for Astolfo cuz Traps Bodicia is probs one of the best 3 star arts rider if she didnt have a dead skill

I always use my np5 Kiyohime along with a Leonidas and a Merlin to enhance her buster card effectiveness ---just a guy who grailed kojiro sasaki that needs more subscribers

I both blame and appreciated Anchin's action, that lie made Kiyohime the way she is but by that she became one summonable servant and finally reach true love and honesty in Ritsuka (and therefore, us the players) to embrace. I'll admit with no lies, it'll be unlikely to found her getting my love in the lover level but rather a sister I must protect. Different level of love but with this way I could say I love her.

I bet male Ritsuka looks exactly like the monk.

One of my top, if not my favorite berserker. I absolutely adore her. Not as much as Mordred though (favorite character overall).

Yeah, Kiyo is the best. She’s almost certainly going to be my first Bond 10 servant, and probably a figure purchase before the end of the year.

Finally Scary Snek Girl gets her own lore (and yes she's worth it IMO)

I would either accept Kiyohime or give her a reason why I can’t accept her affections

My Kiyohime is grailed to 90, bond 10 and soon to be 10/10/10 not only she's been with me through the entire game and into every battle but I can't help but fall for her. I don't see her as scary or as too yandereish. Sure her madness enhancement makes her see you as her Anchin but is that really a bad thing? She'd literally give her life for your sake and aside from her obsession with you she's a caring and sweet girl. Unless you're a liar you shouldn't have any reason to fear Kiyohime.

I love these kinds of video's it's my very own favorite I appreciate that you tells us the lore of each servant 💕

This all reminds me of a quote from Smokey And The Bandit. "What we have here, is a failure to communicate." Like legit, if the guy just clarified and apologized when she snuck into his room, then things would be awkward but fine. All that said, Kiyohime seems like a girl who'd do well with a partner who'd relish excessive attention and intimacy. So long as she doesn't stumble into the generic "I will kill all who look at master" parody of yandere, then she seems extremely tame by comparison.

I'm mostly Neutral with Kiyohime but can't lie to her and she's cute. (Unfortunately also jailbait as well due to my current age)

@HaloRocks but Fran seems more intelligent than a regular beserker kind of like Heracles. Fran has a lot more emotions expressed than what Kiyohime can.

@HaloRocks the thing is to me their equally as expressive but they all take the same spot as my favorite along with all the other anti-heroic spirits. Sadly I can't say that all anti-heroic spirits share the same space some are in different favorite category like first second and third etcetera. Both of them are tied with Tamamo and Medusa for first in my opinion.

@@darthkai3621 In the wise words of Carnival Phantasm men are corrupted by darkness and although hero's are idealizes because of there heroics and legends we might identify with an Anti-hero because of something in your history you went through similar to what a Hero, Anti-hero, Anti-villain, and or Villain experienced in their stories like for me my older siblings weren't always the best to me but they tried to be good kind of like Medusa in at least in the Fate Series or similarly I mainly try to be good but I occasionally am mischievous kind of like Tamamo it all depends on who and or what you identify with. Hopefully this makes sense to people who read it and sorry for the run on sentence.

5:00, already found the yuri master/kiyo picture. Daikun, another great video. Thank for finally doing Kiyohime’s story. I already knew her history from before she died, but thank you for the rest. She was my first berserker and I wish she was more than a 3* servant. I missed getting her summer wear, I remember the story during her summer quest in the weird island that time forgot. Her and Tomo are prefect waifu material, but vengeful if not shown devotion.

In FGO NA, Kiyohime actually DOES have the Dragon attribute. (I'm not mad or disappointed. I just wanna point it out.)

Kiyo is the reason I started FGO, and then the game keep throwing me all this HS with awesome character while Kiyo's characters just kinda pale compared to other. But she still my number one waifu in fgo, carrying me through the farming hell. To waifuing is to accept all about your waifu, and she is just perfect as she is.

Kiyo has always been my go to girl when I needed a AoE berserker, then again when I needed a buster lancer

the way I understand it.. there's no record of Kiyohime having actual dragon blood or anything. She has dragon attributes through sheer tenacity. Meaning that she gained traits of one of the greatest phantasmal species in the typemoon universe by will alone.

@@MichiInWonderland Well yeah, Kiyohime's love is one of the strongest in Japanese folklore, her heart was committed a thousand fold to her lover so when such a pure and powerful heart was broken she became a Dragon. Many Dragons in a lot of Asian cultures in general, turn out to be ascendant forms of humans with strong wills or emotions.

@@otakudaikun to be fair, Kiyohime had no dragon traits in life is what the lore is talking about, in her servant form she is a dragon because of her obsession but that's not representative of her actual self in life... essentially her turning into a dragon is so iconic to her myth that she is a dragon as a servant... I think that's the justification
