Abby is a "silver key", which allows her to open rifts in time and space, and (Salem spoilers) is what led Raum to expirememt on her and turn her into a priestess of Yog Sothoth. That means she can manifest the god wherever she likes by acting both as a key and keyhole at the same time and provide him with a door. Confused? I know I am xD
