Leonidas mentoring Mash in protecting is probably one of the most memorable moment. Next to Ritsuka telling Ushiwakamaru that he once acted as her in a play. It is really the small moments that sometimes is more memorable than the battles. Good job on the VA's that worked on this video. They fit the characters well.

I think the only regret I might have about the scene is that I think it would be have been better, character-wise, if said mentoring had happened earlier in arc 1. By the time of Babylonia, it seems to be a bit late, and after six singularities (especially Camelot), it kind of seems like Mash went backward at some point. Still a great scene, though.

No it was Goduka suffering from necrosis because that proved it was Goduka who is the one that supplies mana to the servants all along thus Goduka is extremely powerful contrary to what the writers keep claiming in later singularities/Lostbelts when they tried putting the cat back in the bag by returning Goduka to what she was prior to Fuyuki instead of what she became after Babylon and Solomon.

This comic shows one of the reason why i got attracted to fate. The idea of a hero of the past training/mentoring a hero of the future is one of my most favorite trope. Thank you for dubbing this comic!

Leonidas was so great in the anime seeing his last stand.

It's nice how Mash had 3 teachers about her Noble Phantasm over the course of the singularities Cu taught her to manifest it Bedivere taught her its name Leonidas taught her its value In a way it Parallels how there are a lot of groups of 3, 3 Command Seal, 3 Units in a Row, 3 Skills, 3 Mystic Code Abilities etc.

I love how Leonidas was portrayed in Babylonia. Before he’s the King of Sparta, he’s a soldier, someone who has seen the horrors of war, but also someone who’s able to see what’s at stake.

7:47 Leonidas: "Believe in the me that believes in the you." Mash: "Huh?" Leonidas: "Oh nothing, I just remembered a quote from Gurren Laggan that the Grail gave me since I look like Kamina with a red cape instead of a blue cape."

I've been trying to get Leonidas because I love him, but I can't get him. This video taunts me....I love watching it, but it taunts me

between the anime and this it just makes me more sad that we don't have Shielder Leonidas yet and that just reminds me that we also don't have Shielder Ajax yet, in fact he doesn't even have a design, all we know of him is his shield which has been around since 2004

@@ProjectTaker but it exists as an Extra Class right? So maybe in a normal holy grail war a Shielder won't appear but in the F.A.T.E. system it is possible because the template for such Class exists, right? And... Who knows if the Fuyuki Grail does not have that Class already included(it had Ruler and Avenger) so maybe if someone with advanced knowledge and permission from Grail decided to use the Class and it was in the Templates available, then maybe we could have it?

Shielder class is an awful useless class. Mash would have been far more useful as a ruler. In fact according to the story Mash's NP grants invulnerability and not just a useless 10% damage reduction for 3 times. Mash's NP was supposed to be Jeanne's NP and Jeanne's NP was supposed to be Mash's NP. However in one of the production meetings someone raised the issue that no one would want to spend money to summon Jeanne because her NP was total trash and completely outclassed by Mash's NP so they swapped Mash's and Jeanne's NPs.

Leonidas' voice is really great, it really fit his character so much. And his advice in this comic can actually motivate people in real life, despite being a 2 star, he deserves to be 5 after mentoring mash

I actually really loved this cause I'm leaving to basic training right now and there's a fear about the unknown. So thank you because this closer then I thought it would and it gave me courage.

He is one of the best defensive servants in the game, with George, Mash, Ruler Jeanne, and David, so Grailing him does have worth. He can also solo pretty good, since his defence and NP gain from hit can stack hard, especially with multi hit enemies, essencially making damage down to the tens-zeroes. With a bigger health pool, it helps him survive longer so he can smash them to shreds(It helps that he can do pretty good buster damage with his third skill and NP).

Man, the writers and VAs pulled this the hell off, I swear Leonidas sounds like an actual king/general that people truly respect

Goetia ate shit from that fire. Even the heat greater than the sun was only able to concede against that fire. Chaldea's and Camelot's shield. A place where the hopes and wishes of Heroes gather. The girl's whose leg tremble yet protects. Got chills. Greate voice work as well as the music used.

I consider Sippy VA to be THE voice of the Avenger of Monte Cristo. Now I have found THE voice of Leonidas: Hyzengard Gaming.

leonidas: the fear doesnt make you less, can make you strong or weak is the fire that will burn you or will help you to find the way. as much as you keep that fire with you and dont let the fear take control of it your shield and heart will shine more than ever. that is one of the best line i hear somebody says

RedVelvetVA thank you! I managed to finish it just on time and Leonidas will be getting all my embers until he reaches lvl 100. Right now he is lvl 82 and all his skills are maxed out. Seriously, every single time the fear of not being able to do it on time filled my mind I played the video and used it to motivate myself to keep trying.

Still one of the best comic dubs I've ever seen. Also I like the fact that at the first loading screen, Leonidas is leading the way for mash and. And at the second loading screen, there isn't Leonidas but Mash is still going in the path that leonidas guided. I love that small detail so much.

According to Type Moon Wiki, Achilles also qualifies as a Shielder cause of his 'city within the surface of his shield' ability.
