I don't really know, but some people were speculating that the reason Douman is acting like this ( horny and "loving" master) is so that he can learn to love humanity to become a beast. But this is just speculation that hasn't been proven to be true, yet.

Actually, if I'm correct, this Douman is summoned from the living Douman that Chaldea met in Hell Mandala Singularity; but well, summing up the thing, at some time in the story, this living Douman and Douman Alter Ego, Priest of the Alien God, fused, and the result is the Final Boss of the Hell Mandala Singularity. But, when Chaldea defeat him, the fusion ends, and the Alter Ego Douman is killed (I think), while living Douman survives and had a conversation with Abe-no-Seimei, where he confess that he has fear to become a so horrible monster as Alter Ego Douman. So, I think Chaldea used this "character" as base to summon our Douman, and because this, he is more calm. He is a Alter Ego too and also has all the memories from the Priest of Alien God one because the time when the two fused.

Now I see why muramasa throw salt on him

The VA did an amazing job on him, I'll have to say. I've been hating this guy from appearance to personality since Shimousa, swore I'd never roll for him and never understood his popularity in the Japanese fanbase... But if it's true that this summonable Douman is not actually Limbo the Foreign God's Disciple and instead just inherited his powers and memories, like I recently heard (I can't attest for myself as I play NA and haven't got to Heian-Kyo), then I juuuust might rethink and consider rolling for him, for gameplay purposes. Plus his 3rd ascension looks good, his voice lines... entertaining. All in all I'll just have to wait for Heian-Kyo to see the truth, and see if I managed to pull Van Gogh before that (him and Gogh make such a godly team). Thanks for this video!

@@teoregus5394 I would assume the Caster version is the version of him before he merged with the three divinities inside him and before he accepted their offer for more power to defeat Abe No Seimei. Personally I wish since they hold off his third ascension for sometime before releasing his interlude year would have assumed a Caster form specifically in the third ascension, but that’s okay. I hope they do end up releasing a Caster version since he sounded so excited to be a Caster. Lmao. I am just glad we have our first offensive/support Alter Ego Unit.
