Fun facts: In Fate continuity, this Lancer incarnation of EB was from her youth, before she allegedly committed the sins she was said to later in life. Ergo, her Innocent Monster application makes her more like what people think she must have been like at this age, so as to lead to her eventual crazed adulthood. Her draconic features are from her coat of arms, and the idea that her family had dragon blood in their ancestry. This aspect of her is emphasized more by her IM application, to show a more bestial child that could have become the monster nicknamed Carmilla. Lancer Elizabeth Bathory is explicitly aware of all of this. She hates what she became, but she also hates anyone who gives her crap for it, given that she quite literally grew up in the castle and had no real sense of right and wrong drilled into her. She considers incarnation as a Servant as a fresh start, in a sense. At the beginning of CCC she's doing dirty work torturing NPCs for BB, but after a bit of interaction with Hakuno and Hakuno's servant, she kind of 'snaps out' of the role she was tossed into. Once you look beyond the artificially added sadism and blood lust, she's literally a bumbling, innocent girl who's in way over her head. trying to make her own way. Being incarnated as a Servant gives her access to all sorts of 'common knowledge' automatically - and much of it is the kind of thing she had zero exposure to in her own insulated noble life. She kind of clings onto the idea of becoming an idol; it is the precise opposite of her true fate. Loved and adored by everyone, instead of shunned and hated. Even Gilgamesh (when he's the Servant) has little ill to say of her; if even after death she can earnestly strive for her own happiness, then that proves she is a human, and not a monster. In the end, the protagonists sympathize with her and refuse to kill her outright. She returns the favor by assisting them in the eleventh hour, and makes her peace with her new situation.

Evkun that still doesn't answer as to why she's reincarnated as a Lancer ? I can understand as why Cu Culainn, Diarmuid, Scathach and Leonidas as a lancer, since that's how the legend or how they actually fights in battlefields, using spears. I can somehow understand as to why Vlad III become a lancer, since it has something to do with his incresibly well-known gruesome execution involving pikes. But her ? how ??

harits andhika Yeah, honestly I think she's only a Lancer by virtue of compatibility with her skillset and summoned conditions...like, her basic specs I guess? The Moon Cell, which is essentially a copy of the Throne of Heroes probably summoned her Lancer form based on those specs....no denying her being speedy and whatnot, being dragon like and all....plus, her specs overall kinda suck. Honestly, I think it was "best fit fit for what you're working with" scenario...just a guess. I mean, both Gilles de Rais and Tamamo no Mae...can also (weirdly) be summoned as Lancers so I do think specs and personality play a role in Seevant roles...I mean, Cu Chullainn can qualify and was summoned as a caster, and Lu Bu can be any class but Caster (and likely exludes Extra classes like Ruler). Granted, those examples are based more on their myths, but my point is tgat nobody said Servant summonings were a fixed thing. To be fair, Summoning Liz as an Assassin or Berserker would have played to her myth/history more...but not with the aspect summoned...Beserker Elizabeth proved that and Carmilla is the older aspect more in line with her monstrous image in history as the older aspect...This Liz would fail miserably as a behind the scenes Assassin. That's my guess anyway....sepecs, compatibility and summoned state.

upon examining her specs her being a lancer is really sketchy considering her AGI is piss poor for a lancer and her Luck[Lancers usually have the lowest of luck] and Mana are high along with Territory Creation usually a caster skill. Her Torture Techniques skill might be why she is a Lancer as to inflict bleeding with little skill as spears are basic weapons

danboii137 Servant specs aren't a fixed and precise system here.... Like I said, skills, natural compatibility and the summoning itself determines class...She didn't choose to be a Lancer and her natural skills derived from her history would naturally handicap her...It wouldn't be any different if she were summoned as a Saber....and she can be summoned as a Saber....her stats still suck and she's still handicapped. Even as a Berserker Elizabeth is...kinda off. She's... just....kinda....special....yeah.... But seriously, research it yourself if you like. Take when Tamamo or Nero was Summoned....their stats were horribly handicapped just by having Hakuno be their Master...Though, in Tamamo's case there are other issues that maker her kinda weak (like willingly becoming a Servant and sealing off most of her power). Sorry, but again...Servants aren't some precise system here and Heroic Spirits, Anti-Heroic Spirits in Elizabeth's case, don't fit the way you'd expect....not from looking at her from three different classes and knowing her skills and passives.. The system that summons her, her inherited skills, personal history, circumstances of the summoning and (if valid) Master's ability determines all that stat crap...which doesn't mean as much you'd think and is just a general guide, not some hard and fast rule that divides Servants...indivual Servants in the same class are hardly equal. Some are just broken strong and others, not so much...nevermind that any one Heroic Spirit(or whatever else) could qualify as more than one class to begin with here. Stats...aren't that hige an issue.

Her version of Battle Continuation differs from Cu's; his allows him to keep fighting at full power until he drops dead; hers allows her to escape without fail at the cusp of defeat, to come back later for round 2 (or 3, or 4) like an anime villain. As Luke K says, just like Team Rocket, etc!

It saddens me that the FGO version cannot have the part that starts playing at 0:58, or the one at 1:27 which is my favourite by far of her theme. :')

Well, technically she was supposed to turn into a vampire when she would turn adult but for some reason that "future" got denied when she SOMEHOW (no idea how) turned into a Dragon! In other words her Fate got changed!

Wish that the dancing stance she has I'm CCC was her stance in Fgo.

Her music isn't the real issue. Her actual singing in lore is so bad it's almost lethal because she has no proper singing technique meaning she just goes full volume with her dragon blood enhanced voice. Funny enough she's the exact opposite of Nero who has all the technique but her actual singing voice is terrible.

I honestly never seen anyone hate on any of her musics. And honestly, I also love this version precisely because of the minor melancholy tone it gets once it starts reaching the end of the loop. It's like, after going though that whole mask of idol and happiness, we finally get to the solitude and sadness that's lying underneath Liz's core. The tragedy behind the laugh. :,)

In CCC and such she's an extremely strong oponwnt and great ally as she has the *"I ALLWAYS COME BACK!"* Thing yet in FGO she's on the extreme edge of basically being a 3* compared to Hector while Nero is on the other extreme of being a 4* Comparable to 5* like Mordred, artoria and having survival skills that can even help her survive longer than Cú chulainn can on a boss fight wich is a shame for the Cute lil' Dragon girl

SHe didn't age down. This is Elizabeth as a teenager, before she became the infamous "Blood Countess". In fact,the game addresses this and the real "Blood countess" in her murderous prime can be summoned in F/GO. That's why Elizabeth's storyline in both CCC and Extella focuses on how she doesn't want to become that kind of person (since it plays on the fact that Elizabeth Barthory became a murderer because she wasn't taught proper moral rules and was shielded no matter what she did). Hence she takes on the idol personality and all that jazz. In Extella they begin that same train of plot development until she's broken and mind controlled into turning into a psycho. Kind of sad really, if you ignore the fact you are taking pity on the teenage version of history's worst female murderer.

LeonGun8 Even though the real Elizabeth Bathory never actually committed the alleged atrocities that she's associated with. For reals, everyone says she did but there actually is no evidence, nor are there any actual corpses found that many have said they saw. Her husband on the other has been found guilty of a few war crimes.

In the Fate universe she did. Or at least the "history that she did" has become an ingrained truth of the world. Even if she didn't do it, the legend is as such and while an alternative her may come to exist,the "vampire" Elizabeth Bathory will also exist. It's how they excuse having alternate versions of the same character.,

It could happen. Fictional Heroic Spirits are a thing. They merely need a wraith (a wandering ghost) or a human vessel to serve as their container. Either that or they are born from the magical essence of a real human mage. Examples are the Apocrypha's Jack the Ripper (the essence of hundreds of aborted children), Nursery Rhyme (A servant born from a Reality Marble where fairy tales become reality), and Sherlock Holmes himself. On the last one it is hinted that Sir Conan Doyle penned the Sherlock Holmes stories from the memoirs of a very much real Dr. Watson. Thus a Watson and a Holmes did exist in real life in the Fate universe. But the Heroic Spirit Sherlock Holmes was created from a mixing of stories of Sherlock Holmes and other detectives and cases (like Jekyll and Hyde's death and the Jack the Ripper murders) creating "the greatest detective to ever live".
