@@walternelson2687 the fuck are you on about dude? do you really think we're listening to the radio for Post Malone and Lil Xan? i do listen to new music but there's a lot of garbage out there. all we are saying is that there was no spotify back then and the internet was very new so MTV was one of the few choices for discovering music, i remember one late night here in Beirut in 2001 i was studying for an exam and music video came on MTV and i was mesmerized by the music and the visuals and it was Tool's Schism, the next day i after school i bought the album and been a fan since and on June 10 i'm flying to see them for the first time in Vienna

My Father, passed away last year. I will forever remember how we both watched this video as he burst into uncontrollable laughter and tears. It was a magical moment.

Any Bigbeat band was excessively popular in Russia, you can go check comments - Prodigy, Chemical Brothers, Fatboy Slim, Crystal Method, Bomfunk MC's - all of them are filled with russian comments. This music was so perfectly fit Russia's 90's in terms of aesthetic that it's really strangely good.

What a legendary classic. Listening to this after 12 years, I remember listening to this song and watching this very video with my father when I was 5-6 years old. Masterpieces like this aren’t found anywhere in today’s time.

Oh they're out there, it's just that the avenues for music to reach us has just been multiplied by a factor unimaginable in that time. And for the record I grew up with all of this, the tail end of the MTV generation I suppose. But yeah dude, seek and you shall find, though I am not going to deny that the effort involved is greater.

When I first saw this clip as a kid I laughed so hard I nearly died. When that fella broke through the wall, it sent my sides straight to outer space.

There is a "Making of..." video of how they made this. They filmed this in Grenada, and they actually built and destroyed an entire town market for the video. For the weird dance scenes they attached long poles to the actors' arms and hips and yanked them all over the place. The poles were pained blue so they can be easily removed in post.

Lol at "Nigerian/Carribbean". I always wondered where the hell this video is meant to take place. At the start it seems like they're in the rural southern US, then suddenly they're in an African street market haha

@@zonesquestiloveunderworld - I think it's deliberately meant to be an unidentifiable mix of "hot places", like Chanel 9 in The Fast Show was kind of a cross between all Mediterranean countries with a sprinkle of Cuba.
