And I guess this video needs a part two as gameplay changed drastically from 2 into Special, compared in how SF2 changed into CE. 1) Now it's possible to combo from normal attacks into specials or DMs, something that was impossible in FF2. The special move didn't register as a hit. 2) Special moves done with weak attacks caused a different knockdown animation, similar to be swept by a low D attrack. 3) All special moves, DMs and the frame free attacks (f A times with an attack) have a special hit spark. 4) Gameplay is noticeable faster and more dynamic. 5) Takes more hits to dizzy an opponent. Overall, Special is one of the best versus games of the era due of its balance and fast paced gameplay, closer of what SF2 was in that time and still until this day is played competitively a lot in Japan. :)

I do remember Axel's stage background changed as well. in FF2 was kinda bland while in Special it's closer in design and looks to New York City landscape. Oh, and remember the easter eggs in certain stages exclusive of FFS, like a flying Kim in Australia and Mai's stage, monster of the lake in Thailand, the biker falling into the canals in Venice, and the dancing chickens in Spain.

raiden is a heel wrestler, after being defeated by the garou crew, he became a face wrestler and became big bear.

You missed a few things: Terry's hat on the Fatal Fury 2 portrait(picture right next to the health bar) the white on the cap has a blue shade,while on the Special version its straight up white, even Mai's portrait looks different. Kim's stage the woman on the background looks different and in Fatal Fury 2 she was with a girl and boy while on Special she's with two boys(presumably it's Kim's wife with his two sons). Finally; on Andy's stage the Fatal Fury 2 version has a motorcyclist going along in the background, and in Special it's ducks. But other than that great job. I didn't even notice Joe's stage being different.

5:54 - Raiden and Big Bear are the same character, but Raiden is his "heel" persona (evil) and Big Bear is his "face" persona (good) Same happened recently with Griffon Mask/Tizoc switching to his heel persona named King of Dinosaurs...

Fatal Fury Special was my first SNK game!! Since then I've been addicted to SNK'S games

5:55 the reason for the name change ia because Big Bear is now a babyface (good guy) while Raiden is his heel persona (bad guy) It's wrestling stuff

I have also noticed that the blue coloured text for points and character names is lighter in special.

Also, an interesting thing to note is that Mai Shiranui's outfit was red with a yellow trim in Fatal Fury 2, but was changed to red with a white trim in Fatal Fury Special. That most likely influenced her outfit in all of the King of Fighters games.

It's like Street Fighter II and II' bringing some improvements and the bosses. I played the Special version a lot on Super Nes, incredible conversion, I think original has more than 300 megs against 32 on SNes. My prefered characters besides Terry was Ryo and Kim.

SNES version, especially. FFS was closer to arcade than SSF2. SSF2 had some pretty shitty-looking sprites for the new challengers; Cammy in particular.

For me, fatal Fury special is one of the best fighting games ever. Neo geo cd version is great, with short loading times

Special is better, i really love the return of Geese Howard and the big shot of the game is the secret fight with Ryo Sakazaki from Art of Fighting.

Big Bear changed name because he became a technical (unmasked) wrestler. He stopped being a "villain" wrestler.

Jubei is an old pervert, so it is only fitting the paintings in the background be of women. Fits his personality quite well. The SNES and PC Engine CD version's of Jubei's stage in Special got the paintings correctly, while the Sega CD port of Special omitted the paintings entirely, making Jubei's stage bland. Otherwise, great video. Your points came across clearly, despite you saying your English is poor.
