I'm so excited to get this on my OLED Nintendo is gunna do the best port getting 4 next to already having five which was a great remaster!!!!!! And beautiful on switch OLED.....beaten all but 4 playing 5 again my sec time......I'm so glad I didn't watch the whole videos of this game!!!!! Even if I've seen the ending a bit and some of the games playthrough I'm saving it for the excitement!!!!!!

Vanessa Ruth Some of them aren’t short haired in some games. Some of them has medium and long hair in some games. In the new fatal frame game the maiden of the black water there were characters with medium and long hair.

It requires less work to animate the characters and less hardware to calculate the hair skinning or physics simulation of hair, that´s why in a lot of games woman have their hair tied.

I'm wondering, what is the Fatal Frame series about? Everytime I watch the Cutscenes about them, It always shows women and young girls getting kidnapped and killed during rituals. Why is this? Can someone please explain this to me.

Depends on the game, really. The whole stories usually spoke about the protagonists visiting cursed places (cursed because some ritual went wrong and the connection between the underworld and those places grew slim). All the games are slightly connected betweem each other (so you can play whatever without the need of playing the other, even though you would sure appreciate those slight connections if you're like me) and the curses varies. For example: in the third game whoever lost someone dear to them and felt guilty about it, was susceptible to enter the Manor of Sleep in their dreams, eventually being touched by the main antagonist and then disappear from the real world. About the "young girls being kidnapped and killed", it was a big point in the second game, where the ritual were based on twins; the forth, where the girls were kidnapped and used in a ritual in an attempt to cure Sakuya (which eventually became the main antagonist thanks to the ritual), but they were not killed (they lost all their memories though!); while in the third game, Hisame, one of the little girls is actually one of the more twisted and murderous character in the whole series and she did the murders. Ayako, the daughter of Sakuya from the fourth game is also quite the twisted and murderous type, but she was at least sick because of the syndrome from the game and she was probably born with some issue per se (she was daughter of incest). Also, I want to add that 98% of the cast from Fatal Frame is freakin dead (it is a ghost series in the end) so... don't be surprise if you find that X girl/woman/dude/grandpa is dead/being killed.
