What I took away from this video was that for one to find happiness, enlightenment and truly understand and appreciate life, all you need to do is wear clown shoes.

People don't get it, the less you give a fuck, the happier you are. As my give a fuck dissipates, peace flows in.

There is definitely a balance when i was a homeless heroin addict years ago i didnt give a fuck about anything and i was not happy unless i had just gotten a bag of dope, that happiness was material and lasted a few minutes until i needed more. Not giving a fuck isnt good either.

@@devinmichaelroberts9954 I think it's important to define what "not giving a fuck" means. In this context, Fat Mike is talking about not continually chasing new heights because you'll never be happy if you do that. Not giving a fuck about being famous or ultra rich is probably what he's getting on about. If you play in a band and just genuinely enjoy playing for the sake of it, then that's happiness. If you're constantly worried about why you're not famous yet, then it's going to suck for you. But yes, life is a balancing act between not giving a fuck at all, and giving too much of a fuck!

The thing he's not saying is this: NOFX used to tour RELENTLESSLY. Mike's a very talented song writer and his band are talented musicians. Combine that with the strong work ethic they used years ago and you build a brand and following that sticks. So sure, NOW they can go do a handful of shows, make a bunch of money, and go home and live life. The rest of the world? Not so simple.
