In mid-December I took my Fat Bike to Carrabassett Valley, Maine to ride some single track. While it was a bumpy ride due to post holes and ruts, it was a great day to play outdoors. Oh - I took a tumble too!

Thank you! Carrabassett Valley has some great trails. Looking forward to getting new video of York Hill Farms, which is the best in the area (in my opinion) - I have a video from a few years ago posted too. @Borealis makes great fat bikes!

Diggin the bike. Borealis Flume looks vey nice. You should do a video on your bike and set up. It looks like you’ve got the Johnny 5 tires in 26” x 5.0? Aren’t those big pedals from Pedal Innovations or something like that? I’ve been interested in those for awhile now but haven’t pulled the trigger yet. I got the Borealis Crestone back in the spring of this year, but just started riding it now in the snow here in Denver. This is my first season doing the Fat Bike scene. Still not enough snow on the front range yet for any good riding, but in the high country I’m looking forward to getting up there to ride the snow covered single tracks. I enjoyed this video and look forward to more Fatty content. Thanks!

Hello and thank you for the feedback! Welcome to Borealis and Fat Biking! I started fat biking in 2017/2018 and got the Flume in 2019. I credit my Father-in-Law for peer pressuring me into getting my first fat bike and the Flume getting me (back) into mountain biking. You are correct; those are Peddling Innovation’s Catalyst pedals. Love them and have run them on my Flume for a couple year and, until recently on my Revel Rascal - trying magnetic on that bike. I feel Terrene makes great fat tires and I went with the studded Johnny 5 being a Clydesdale for the extra float they offer. Tons of grip too in loose stuff. I had studded Dillinger 5s, but gave them to my Father-in-Law, which work great for him being of smaller stature. Sadly, we don’t have much snow in Maine just yet either, lots of rain this year (since May/June). We got a little last night, and hoping the winter weather is tuning for the better. Thanks for the video idea; I may just have to do that. This YT channel is a new side hobby for me and has been keeping me sane with all this rain!
