You really hit the mark at 2:17. I'm currently enrolled in the second one on that list. The lessons are insightful, but it's a long grind. I also bought a course on only JavaScript that is another 60 or so hours itself and I'm supplementing both with The Odin Project and MDN documentation. I'm comfortable with vanilla HTML and CSS at the moment and I can make some pretty nice layouts, but it sometimes does feel like a waste of time since no one writes code like this anymore. Hello. I think this video is a gem as a roadmap for being a front-end developer, just straight to the point. One of the main problems when learning even in school/bootcamp or by yourself is that you can get lost very easy and wonder what you need to learn or if you already have enough knowledge. That can be very discouraging a lot of times and make the learning hardest. In my case I realized thanks to this video I don't need to learn a lot more but practice and practice. I would like to add that Sass it's also an interesting thing to learn and asked for lot of companies. I would also recommend to learn Web Fetch API.

@@micaelalgarrao6043 I'm a beginner to web dev and I've been watching multiple youtube videos to get different perspectives. From what I understand, front end seems to be the best place to start so personally that's what I'll be doing. Learn HTML/CSS/JS which is the standard for Front End, whereas on the backend there's many more options such as Python/JS/PHP/Ruby/Java which to me makes it more difficult to choose one. I think this guy's video is really clear and to the point though and I like how he gives examples of where to directly go to learn about concepts, which I haven't seen many other youtubers do (apart from shilling their own paid courses).

I agree with the fact that projects really do help you progress- if I can say one thing though, the long bootcamps are great for developing discipline in coding. A lot of people (including myself at one point) try to go through the documentation and online tutorials (w3, etc.) and they usually fall short. The bootcamps don't cover everything and oftentimes they only scratch the surface of a specific topic, but they keep you hooked. I'm close to being done with Colt's updated bootcamp, after that, I'll be taking your advice and focusing on building projects and leveling up my skills. Thank you, and blessings from the US.

Hi Big Brother, I am from India. 1 month ago , I dropped out of college just because of the pathetic education system here . I was from a tier 3 college. 3 semester passed but I didn't get much time to do development stuffs. Now 1 month later ,today is the day that I have learnt Front End Basics in just a month and now moving to build some serious projects. I am following you for quite a long time and truly speaking you are just awesome. I saw almost all of your videos and the things you told so far worked well for me. Degree is not important and my ultimate aim is to do remote job and get global exposure . Thanks for the videos.

There is one friend of mine who had done computer engineering but he didn't got a job and he will be doing MSC now . He focused on the study of college but didn't developed skills . He told me that in engineering you don't get much time . Conclusion : Skills are more important than grades/marks . Hope everyone understands this and I will share a video link please watch that for your sake

You are right that it's highly inefficient to be only learning theory without much "doing". I am convinced and know from experience in other areas that the truth is in the middle. You need a theoretical basis in order to intelligibly apply and "understand" what you are doing. This is how I am doing it: I am switching it up...little bit of theory (reading and watching) and then consciously doing coding...back and forth and so on.

Hey! I've been following your video for a year, and I'm from Nepal. My tutor advised me to wait until I had a solid understanding of CSS before using the CSS framework, but I still have some issues with that. However, you advise a beginner to understand the CSS framework in your video. What do I need to do? 2.)
