You want the most effective way? Take the mortar and Gatling turrets. Take easy kill brood mother. Jump in , run to the marked spot, drop the two turrets and run back to the extraction. In 30 seconds the mission should complete and you can call for extraction

I toss an oribtal laser in the general direction of the brood commander and it finds them. I don't even leave the extraction platform. I've finished the mission in 2 minutes and 56 seconds doing this.

Fastes mission is illegal broadcast. Autocannon can snipe the tower from across the map. So drop in at extraction zone, snipe the tower and immediatly call extraction. Sub 3min is possible this way. Getting the mission is luck though...

Yesterday had 3 points to destroy on automaton planet. Teammates ran towards one, I just climbed a rock and sniped all 9 towers. One accused me of cheating xD

I've only ever seen this mission once.

Just something to note, the light armors make you run faster. There’s one with 50 armor and 550 for speed. It’s a good bit faster than heavier armors.

Not only that, but with armor ratings being broken right now everyone might as well run light

i also grind easy missions for samples and those little supply shuttles that have the beacons on them (gives medals, bonus requisition points, and occasionally, even super credits)

I was doing the same but swapped out for the laser guard dog. Resuppyling off your own back for no grenade launcher downtime is also a blast

Easy missions are really good for farming common samples as well. Easily 10-15 per run, very low risk of death when properly equipped.

Solo medium starts requiring armor shredding. Pre 20, disposable rockets are probably the best. At 20, take the railgun every mission. It kills everything in bug or borg missions, and is the fastest for most things even while you have aggro. Turn safety off in the advanced reload menu for even better ammo economy - but now you can kill yourself Auto cannon sentries provide more than enough firepower for a bad situation. Take em. Personal shield generator is a must have once you hit 20, but before that, jump pack can save you where a dive won't - or take guard dog for extra covering fire. Last slot needs to be a good crowd clearer. If you're doing eggs, maybe 120mm or cluster so you don't have to be close to the enemy for long. HVT wants big boomie, take your biggest boomie. 500kg eagle is my favorite. For the standard "move here do this" I've been using 120mm, 380mm, eagle cluster, gatling sentry, and eagle 500kg. They all work well.

I love using the supply backpack with the grenade launcher. Those are my two must-haves for almost any mission because it allows me to run almost solo in group play thanks to the supply packs restoring all ammo, grenades, and stims. I'll often just kite the lesser bug swarms in a big circle around an objective and fire into bug nests or onto egg patches as they get into line of sight. If the bugs manage to damage me while I do this, the stim packs will fully restore my health and stamina so I can run at full speed once again!

@@Verhiu Depends on the mission. Usually I'll bring Eagle Cluster Bombs in to pre-clear a point of interest before heading in on foot, and Orbital EMS Strike to CC bigger enemies.

a little side note which I dont know if someone mentioned. But you can land your pod directly into the tower meaning you''ll be saving like 5-10 seconds - its minor time save but you can instantly run to the evac, alternatively as I saw someone mention you can snipe it using autocannon from the evac spot if the line of sight permits it. saving you a whole run

The Punisher is pretty good. The Rounds Reload trait alone makes it great in a game where you are normally holding onto every last bullet in a magazine before reloading. But most guns in this game are struggling to keep up with the Breaker shotgun. It doesn't have the Rounds Reload trait, but it's bonkers in so many ways.

imo, the incendiary breaker is actually better (for terminids). it has a higher ammo count, plus tick damage with fire. i can't use the normal breaker anymore because it's so annoying having to reload every 10 seconds.

Here's the deal though... Speed running is a legitimate tactic. But if you don't do missions with modifiers, you're handicapping yourself in the long run... Because you won't know how to run through the shit if there's no shit through which to run. So put on your hip waders, pull on your Wellingtons, and get to trudging. You'll get used to it.

For moderated democracy

I use the defence missons on mantes, it takes maybe 5 or 6 min pretty consistently and you can get more than double the xp because you can set it to higher difficulty. With mortar and gun turrets you can easly do it solo and get that sweet victory for democracy!

If you change the difficulty to "trivial" a lot of mission types are just the ones where you terminate the illegal broadcast. You can spawn in between the illegal broadcast and extraction, destroy the broadcast tower with air support, grenades, etc., and go extract. The fastest one I've got was 3:09 seconds and it yields 200+ XP and 900+ R, you can also find a sample or two and you'll get one war bond per mission. Its very chill, simple, foolproof and good to do for your first few levels or to get that last bit of XP before leveling up.

brood commander will be automatically targeted by the orbital laser if you toss it in the general direction of the objective. I land on the extraction, toss orbital laser, then extract. Easy 3 minutes.

So there were more strategems i could buy if i just scrolled down a bit 💀

It's kinda like Deep Rock Galactic co-op. You can quick match with other randoms, or join another solo/group of players on the planetary map.

I been doing automaton defense eradications, 5 mins per mission on 5 difficulty and ~10 samples.

One of the things that makes the Cluster Bomb good is that it ALSO seals bases, just like the GL. Also, EMS is actually extremely potent, but it's only necessary for higher difficulties with heavies. Standard defense missions seem to be the meta for grinding at higher levels due to having their samples just lying around and requiring a very limited number of kills.

When you say cluster bomb seals bases, you mean bug holes and bot factory things? Ive heard conflicting info about that. Do the bombs have to get lucky and fall in?

@@TheMarmaluke My bad. It actually doesn't. The eagle airstrike does though. What cluster bomb has is enormous radius and spammable charges, so you can basically just wipe a bug breach every time.

I can attest to the illegal broadcast operations, with an autocannon and a jump pack you can destroy the tower from extract and leave in under 4 minutes, my personal best is 3:18 so far. XP efficiency goes crazy.

Great vid! TLDR: find a planet, scan it from 1-3lvl for the objective. Land between target and landing zone. Use grenade launcher and 3 turrets. I’ve only done 4 of these and my best time is 3:09!!!

the cluster bomb is my fav early ish game strategem, that thing is so much clearing for early game

I was messing around with load outs to see if I could make things faster, and found out that you can snipe the tower from across the map (as long as it's visible) with the disposable and the auto cannon. I've literally blown the tower up from the extraction point once.

If you bomb your location hit the ground, explosion damage is much lower when on the ground which may save you.

All you need is one shot from the launcher. And you can shoot from way further away to save on travel time

Hey I love the video, but for future reference, could you segment your video's timelines into the parts you describe at the beginning of the video? You know, stratagems at timestamp x, missions at timestamp x, ect. ?

using the recoiless rifle i have a sub 3 minute run for terminate broadcast, dropped at extract, called rifle, sniped tower, waited 2 minutes for extract

my fastest mission was 3min something with the autocannon. pick a broadcast mission, drop down at evac spot, oneshot the tower with the autocannon and get home

Haven’t tried it but you could probably spawn your pod on the tower and destroy it, worth a shot

Thanks I've just turned level 5. I bought the regular machine gun turret unfortunately but did save for the grenade launcher. I don't have enough for the cluster bombs yet so will just have to stick with the one they give you for free.

I just got a 4:26 on broadcast using your strat. Instant easy 250xp

for the 200-210 exp shown in this video, its much easier to do this or trivial difficulty. Especially if its the brood commander ones, just put the sentry outside hive and fire a few shots, sentry will clear the commander.

The issue with trying to level like this is you wont have enough medals and samples for upgrades

You can drop your hellpod on the terminal and complete the mission as soon as you land as it destroys the terminal.

erdicate automaton forces on hard can be done sub 5 once you unlock more sentries so once youre level 10-15 you should switch to doing that

The autocannon tops the grenade launcher, imo. It can do all the same things, from further away, and can take out medium armoured enemies with ease.

currently level 27 but I agree unless you have a buddy who is superdecked and can help you complete the harder missions or take you on harder difficulties this is the best method, my friend was level 11 last night and got him all the way to 20 by just playing with me, he went up 9 levels compared to my 2 levels considering I was level 25 when we started.

just started doing this and just got a 3:13 extract! spawned perfect spot with disposable rocket 1 shot the tower and ran just a tiny bit to the extract like i only moved 0.3km

i got a lucky illegal broadcast mission yesterday i landed threw my orbital walking a bit to the side and left in like 3-4 minutes too i wanna say it could've been less but honestly i didnt pay attention to its time

What do you mean by uses per rearm when it comes to the cluster bomb and the napalm airstrike. Do I get to call for cluster bombs whenever I enter the sequence of directional pad buttons for that stratagem?

Id also like to add to do missions on trivial difficulty as enemies are easier, there’s one main objective so completing the objective takes only a couple of minutes plus 2 minutes for extraction…but most importantly it earns basically the same Xp and money as harder difficulties give, only downside is no rare samples and without searching wrecks you only get 1 medal per mission.

the broadcast tower can be done faster, drop on them they get destroyed, and you can run to extract point. (its tricky to get right and you propably fail to drop on it 80% of the time BUT if you do =) )

People don’t seem to be too focused on getting samples in my squads. I mean if we happen upon them yeah but like 20 common samples possible and we only get like 4 sometimes? Bro I’m trying to upgrade my gear

BRUH I didnt even know you could resupply YOURSELF with that backpack that just bumped it a few tiers for me

I am meh at the game but so far my fastest mission is on trivial at 3:10 seconds and can regularly do sub 4 mins. Light armor on the terminate broadcast mission. Hot drop on the target, throw and orbital precision strike on the tower and start booking it for the extract without looking back. So far for at least my limited skillset seems to be the fastest way to earn slips and xp. *edit* been doing that right from the beginning.

What I really would like is a video on enemy defenses and weak points.😅

I'm not sure I got less than 4 minutes but I landed on a Brood Commander straight out of the initial deploy, but the evac was a bit of a walk.

Do you clear any of the hives (don’t know the name right now sorry)? Or do you leave them alone for the sake of time?

I got 5 mins right away. Had one that should have been 3. Loved that grenade launcher since I got it.

Orbital laser will automatically target brood comanders if you toss it near them. I do a level 1 mission in 3 minutes flat this way.

Does this take into account the cutscene times though which seem to be longer than the actual mission itself lol.

Ofc there's no signal towers popping up when I need em lol I just hit lvl5, did broodmother kills at 7min6sec with only the grenade launcher because I spent all my creds on dumb things beforehand. I rushed it and died twice. One thing I'd say is even if the shotgun has the highest damage, it's slow speed makes it harder for me than using the standard liberator.

Can the pack pick up ammo spawned on the map? Would be handy

Did brood commander twice last night. Cleared both areas but no commander's. Had to head back to orbit. Is it bugged? (NO PUN INTENDED LOL)

Only missions I see are deactivating the terminin contorl tower .. which takes a bit longer than 4 mins lol

Honestly easy is so straighforward you can just drop into a red zone without worry, the shotgun will melt everything this difficulty throws at you.

As of now the armor rating is bugged. So going light armor for speed is best

Was able to take out the tower after spawning at the extraction point. The I instantly called in the extraction. Overall less then 2 minutes

Is this still valid with current patch?

I've been struggling w/ being able to join other parties & w/ finishing solo missions at Medium. So I'm glad for this vid & hopefully I'll be able to level a lil bit faster solo.

Defense mode is by fast the fastest with motors and turrets. 5ish min, helldiver mode, +1200exp.

3:17 is my record as of now

I tried speedrunning illegal brewing broadcast, as a level 14, my fastest was a pb of 3:04, tryna get sub 3 so bad but the equipment takes toooo long to drop

3:36 on a trivial illegal broadcast for 🎉🎉🎉

How do you refresh mission selection?

I would suggest against this due to how many samples one has to get to make their stratagems better.

How do you get random players to pick up rare samples when they walk by them?
