Fastest Volantex Atomic on You Tube Pt 2, 6S. Record Speed Run 62.3 MPH (100.262 KPH) on GPS.

Stock boat on two 3s in Series. 42mm Octura prop 1.6P worked on by myself. Had an earlier run of 56 mph but flipped it. See it here: • Fastest Volantex Atomi... . Ultimate speed was not on fully charged batteries so there may be a little more left. I was surprised it didn't burn up considering the stock ESC. Not bad for a $140 dollar boat but I have to admit I have repaired some stress crack already. Pretty well over the limit for this boat. World Record speed for this boat? Snapped two flex shafts since this run trying to better the speed.

    @@jaredshowers1 Not for the price. Probably the fastest boat on the market for the price. If I was to spend some money I would buy a Pro Boat Veles. Check out MrMad2424. He has some awesome videos on some higher priced boats with high end props. He even has a video of this boat with slightly different hardware and a different label but $100 more. The secret to speed is set up and the prop. I had maybe 3.5 hrs of labor into the prop when I ran over 60 mph. The next day the prop shaft broke due to being over powered and the prop went to the bottom of the lake. Speed costs but the challenge is a lot of fun.

  • @79ltd

    @79ltd

    No, this boat will never be self righting but check this run out: kzread.info/dash/bejne/Yot8pamjmMSvYcY.html. Kind of self righting? Sometimes you get lucky. You'll see in the video I have a rescue boat, a cheap inflatable. ALWAYS wear a life jacket when in a piece of junk like these boats. I paid $20 for it on sale and had to buy the oars for another $20. Yes the cat does not self right and I can't tell you how many times I had to go and get the boat when it flipped. Pretty much every time I ran the boat I had to row out and get it but that's the price you pay to go fast. I rescued the boat on this record run previously as it flipped in a turn. You might consider a FT011(Mono Hull) as a starter boat. Cheap, fun and fast, self rights but not as fast as a catamaran. That's what I started with and have videos of it on KZread. Also I see Volantex has a new slightly larger Cat, the SR95 that does self right by sinking on one side. It may be a better option. As far as I know it's the only self righting Catamaran on the market. Check the Bangood site. Welcome to the hobby. Thanks for the nice comment.

When it was not burnt I tried the throttle and it seemed ok so I reset the GPS and sent it out again hitting the 62 mph. Remember, the water was 33-34 degrees F or about 1 degree Celsius.
