there are chances for a box to drop 5-6 steel albeit very little chance. ive got em twice so far after more than a hundred of box opened.

on one char .. but u can farm on multiple chars. 8 chests per helltide is pretty tough but 7 is doable with about 4-5min left.

Ive watched a dozen duriel farming guides today. You're was the fastest and least bloat filled. Straight and to the point. Thank you! Keep it up!

Very good understandable guide. Wish I saw this earlier, but it will help many others.

Magic trick is to farm with 3 different characters. Even cinders will carry over to your other characters. Example if Helltide has two living steel chests you can open two chest with every character you have. So with 3 characters you can open 6 chests (if you can farm 1800 cinders in one hour). Not sure if this is big secret, because no one is talking about this and I can't be only one who noticed this? I hope Blizzard will not patch this out... :D

But you just grind 600 cinders and open two chests and then swap another character and grind another 600 cinders and you can open same two chests that you already opened your another character. All the cinders you collect seems to persist even when you change characters. So you can probably just grind all the cinders with one character and then use two other just to pop chests..

Just need 3 more and I’ve got all of em across close to 500 runs I got shako then andariels then the ring then the horse then grandfather then a duplicate ring. Just need amulet, doombringer, and the spear

@LambAndWolfGaming just the blood harvest in general always 3 whisper events and sometimes it's in a area where there are Normal whisper and respawns ever hour

They must intervene on the fact that the players feel the obligation to form a group because it is so effective. Especially with the arrival of the ranking. Either only the player who opens can have the uber, or each participant consumes their materials, or an SSF mode.

I completely agree with this, I think the interview with Adam Jackson and Wudijo talked about this with support style abilities. Adam said that as they introduced any party effective features they will look at feedback to determine what to do next.

I must be missing something, all my unique's are not nearly as good as my 925+5's

It's okay. I think doing the 3 whispers inside of the Blood Hunt area is probably ideal anyway for season 2. Otherwise the Whisper Dungeon for easy +5 is still quite reliable.@@LambAndWolfGaming

I have got 5 living steel out of one chest a few times. I think it’s due to the ash buff. But not recently not sure if this is hot fixed

The grind i feel like players now adays arn't use to having to grind for a while.before they get (blank). Good guide my advice to players who arnt patient do your daily shit and play another game until you do it again.

I've seen at least 20 people with harlequin in lobby but damn I hit duriel at least 4 times a day and nothing. I just don't have the time to grind for thus damn thing lol.

Lie of the year: there is a way to reliably get an uber unique. After 50+ runs, no uniques for me. Still a very low drop rate. And figure in the time cost necessary to do duriel runs: 50 runs = 100 shards... so that is 10 hours running borring helltide. Plus more time farming the other materials

It's 2%, and I'm pretty sure the statement is that you can target farm UNIQUES, not uber uniques. Either way, it's not a lie.

helltides are a buggy mess though, do they really expect the playerbase to restart the game for every living steel chest

Way too much repetitive jumping through hoops for the slight possibility of getting something that your character probably doesn't even need by this point. The problem with Diablo 4 is that some point you just cease to progress because of caps and then everything becomes pointless. I seriously am not into making an alternate class just to do the same things all over again ad infinitum.

Yup that is the biggest problem with D4 its just boring... We should just be able to farm all the bosses without all these materials its ridiculous we spend more time getting all these materials then we do actually fighting the bosses. Just let me fight the bosses for the gear I want.

This is soooo boring, I am max level and it’s so bloody boring do helltides, look for living steel then try and gamble with drop to the maggot king like where’s the point, aside from these 3 things there is literally no end game nothing to do. I guess I got my fun out of the game I’ll just wait for season 3. It’s boring doing this on repeat. Nightmare dungeons are boring.

Save a bunch of them up and do a big farm my group has is doing a big farm this weekend. We all have 400 steel

I hate Helltides with a passion. Even after watching this guide, I feel like I hate it more. Like, why is it active for an hour and then down an hour and fifteen minutes? Just, why? Why do I lose Cinders when I die? I've died so many times to just lag alone. Not to mention trying to look at the map or my inventory and a bunch of enemies spawn on me, or a random fire ball falls on me. There's so many things wrong with Helltides. It's not even engaging content. Go here, go mob to mob, kill enemies, open chest. I'm new to ARPG's, but one of my biggest gripes in looter type games is being forced to play content that doesn't appeal to you. I can like 99% of the game, but have to do that 1% I don't like because of a material. Just why?

I think it was originally intended to pace players getting new equipment and to push players into other content (before living steel). Fortunately, the developers in interviews have said they're happy with the feedback of blood harvest and are hinting towards it improving helltide.

That discord is terrible and not beginners friendly. It's confusing and Actually toxic. I tried to join a person, I'm a level 91 necro and he just disappeared, no massage no nothing just ghosted me. That's toxic af.

Having to farm material just to have fun an fight bosses in the game is so boring and tedious just let us farm asuch as we want its a video game not a job... This is the exact problem destiny has with the stupid resets and everything for farming dungeons and raids... Live services games suck imo i wish D4 was more like borderlands where u can farm over and over again with no restrictions until u get what u want then u got farm the other bosses for the stuff u need smh. More games need to be like borderlands sonce borderlands does loot, leveling and skill trees right.

I got bored and tired of this farm just to get 1 weapon or armor piece , which in next season will have to redu all this "fun" stuff. Same npcs and content is lacking.
