He could've been known as the guy with the world record for building the millennium falcon instead he is know for being extremely honest with a very high sense of integrity. I see this as an absolute win

There are a lot of people out there that simply wouldn’t have mentioned the missing piece and accepted the certificate anyways, there’s no question that this guy is very humble and honest and I think the decision to tell the truth is more honorable than the certificate itself. Clearly he’s getting a lot of praise and respect for having done so.

Its interesting that the build is 7,541 pieces and he couldn't match that 1 piece. Props for the attempt. A challenge like this is so much organization dexterity and mental fortitude. To confess a mistake like this deserves praise. Really easy to claim the title. This is within margin of error. The machine that sorts these sets with these huge piece counts would qc check. A true class act.

The honesty of this man is admirable. And that honesty worths more than any number of records. He's a truly Lego collector and a worthy Speedrun competitor. My entire respect for him.

@@parabalani I'd dare to say most people would just ignore the one extra tiny 1 x 3 slope piece in a 7,541 peice Lego set. Remember, the guy went out of his way to read through the instructions and find out where the piece was supposed to go. Most people would have assumed it was a spare part and ignored it. What makes his honesty "special" as you put it is his willingness to go back and painstakingly check for something that will invalidate his record.

OK, whomever sells him the Falcon kit for his re-attempt absolutely needs to make sure there really is an extra wedge piece in there. I feed on human suffering.

Kudos to him for the honesty. No idea this was a category I tend to build Lego sets pretty fast and this was back in the day before Lego did bag separation for different segments of the manuals. I was always happy with that time I built my entire Christmas Lego gift set of several large space bases in the span of 5 hours. By the time everyone else woke up for Christmas I had already finished my last Lego piece These days with Lego packaging everything into individual bags I feel like building Lego sets is easier and faster to do now than in the past especially when it comes to extra parts. With it bagged individually you tend to catch the issues faster. Generally the extra pieces often are those tiny 1 studs or an extra blaster type of parts. So things like a wedge definitely are not extra Like I said in the beginning kudos to him for being so upfront about it. It’s a wonder the judges didn’t ask about the extra part when he said he was done

And he did all of that in ONE TAKE?! Big praise to this man 💪

I have this set. Took me several weeks to finish it. Intentionally slowed myself down building it as I enjoy the build. Was sad when I got to the last bag as I know I won’t be enjoying building it again so I stopped for 2 weeks before continuing on to the last steps. Best. LEGO. Set. Ever.

Was it more fun than the ISD?? I found the ISD build no fun at all: very tedious, huge/flimsy grey panels that didn't fit very well... the entire build felt unstable to me too. I was excited because I like SW but afterwards I was actually disappointed because I didn't really enjoy building it... bizarre.

Ok, the moral here is that everything matters, like a single piece of lego, can get disqualified. So you have to take everything seriously and focus on it, so that is perfect. What an absolutely awesome Guinness record to have.

With Lego Technic it's an even bigger nightmare if you realise you forgot to put in a part a few pages ago...It's damn hard to pull it apart again and there's always pins that came out of another beam as well...which makes it even harder to figure out how it was all attached.Or like a tiny mistake I once made during the build of the Chiron.I put a small piece of the gears in wrong, so when I completed the build...the wheels would lock up.Instead of the front- and rearwheels turning in the same direction, they turned in the opposit direction.I was kicking myself when I realised that !!!! 😣😐

I had the exact same thing with the Chiron; and with the Sian, I think I had to backtrack over 400 steps to correct a mistake... I think people could hear me cursing from a mile away.

The real dedication is LEGO that actually has to design this.

What I feel is that he passionately loves his profession. Rather than focusing on the world record and the certificate he was actually trying to do his work with perfection. He was just being honest with himself and he knows that this trait is what made him get the world record. I am pretty sure that many other records are waiting for him in future.

Even though there are faster records out there, however, this is the true world record in my opinion. I mean, it's remarkable he did this build 16 hours straight STANDING with limited breaks. The colosseum build I remembered he also did it STANDING up and only took 9 minutes of break. For this I feel it's only fair to award the title to those who did it in the exact same condition this guy did, standing up throughout to build this thing in one sitting.

Amazing! I have been a LEGO builder since I was 5. I’m 11 now, and even I couldn’t build the Millennium Falcon. It was unlucky that you missed that piece. You deserve the World Record! Maybe some time soon you can try again, and I bet you’ll do even better!

I honestly didn’t really care about this video until I got to the end and realized I was watching a documentary on the most honest person in the world. This became one of my favorite videos ever. Kudos.
