Fastest Method to remove the Transmission Filter Bushing from a 4L60e or 4L80e.
PVC Plumbing fitting, 1/2" NPT.

What exactly is that bro? Never did it before but I’m about to change my transmission screen.

It's the rubber seal for the trans filter. The filters usually come with a new one if you buy the filter/gasket kit. They go bad over time and cause air to get sucked into the pump.

I have a metal one with an angle on it at bottom to hit. Plastic may be safer.

I use the PVC one since I'm paranoid about scratching the bore with a steel one, but it probably doesn't matter since it usually pulls straight out.

I just leave original one in place and slide the new tube into it 😮
