As said in the video, it’s worth mentioning that you’ll never gain anywhere near as much gold in safer seas compared to higher seas. However this is the best method you can do if you want to get some cosmetics with your family!

This is providing you can get all the loot out of the vault each time right? Solo I can only get up to about 10k of loot (safeseas) per run so these missions are pretty much equal to a merchant manifest mission for solo I'd say. Each manifest I sell in safer seas brings in 1200 flat

do you happen to know if the loot pools for world events and random encounters increase with only the crew size or the ship size? been thinking about soloing a galleon just to increase my loot from forts and megs

I can get about 2kg from doing a standard 'go to two islands, dig treasure, go to second island, solve riddle and get treasure' Gold Hoarder voyage. They're definitely worth doing and will (eventually) pay back the 5,000g storage crate. Plus, no asshole sweatlords to sink you just because you're breathing.

I love Safer Seas. I've always wanted to just explore and play at my own pace. It's perfect for my play style.

Played the game for years. I think Rare needs to allow fully featured private servers with full rewards. It’s time.

I agree. I don't care for their vision of the game, the customer is always right. Players should be able to experience the game in the way they choose, without silly restriction, forcing those who love the game to play with people they don't want to interact with. Been with the game since the start, and yes, it IS the time indeed.

Safer Seas should be at the very least 45% gold and reputation and you should be able to level up ALL merchants to Pirate Legend rank, which is 50. Maybe they'll do that in future updates because I am really loving the game because i can do whatever i want without being attacked.

You should like play the actual game as intended and learn how to defend your ship vs players and how to double gun. There are plenty of guides on Blurbs channel about ship combat and pvp. You will not learn a single thing in safer seas…

I feel like they are punishing us, i'm autistic and have severe anxiety what it comes to pvp. I tried it once and a guy one shot me from his boat, he was not even in canon range and then my ship sank. i remeber his name was something tv, he could fly and stuff. But then i spawned on the island and my ship sank before i got on it and i was shot again. it was not fun at all, I never played it since, i just want to play a cool pirate game, with our any grieving or cheating and just play with friends and have fun. I really wish ac black flag would make a full game about pirates :), or they stop telling me to play high seas i can't, last time i could not breath and passed out and woke up in the hospital. im affraid of trying high seas, it's nothing but mental abuse. just let me play the game and not be punished for enjoying it.

Sea Forts are the way to go in terms of speed and difficulty, in my opinion. In the Southwest, two Forts are closer than anywhere else. You can clear and loot one, stack the stuff (either outside or on your ship), clear and loot the next, and by the time you're done with the second the first has reset. I tested it solo, and I got 60k after about 5 forts, which might have been about an hour or a little more.

How much do forts give?

Safer Seas is going to be used only for stacking vault keys and completing that DAMN commendation (100 vaults opened)! I do not even care about the gold - I just want the cosmetics and title!

Stronghold skulls typically sell better than chest of ancient tribute. You can get a minimum of 2 from one skull fort. World event loot tends to be pretty good so i think farming world events would be better for making gold.

This is way better than high seas, because in high seas you get robbed about 4 out of every 5 times you try to do anything, and you spend hours getting chased around and harassed by sweatlords. Safer seas is better in every way. Can't wait till they expand it.

Safer seas is very harmful to your growth as a player in sot. You will definitely want to watch videos from Blurbs channel on pvp and ship combat so you can actually learn how to fight and defend your loot. Being able to protect your 5hour long loot grind is so much more rewarding than anything else. Its such a great feeling. Safer seas does nothing for you in the long term. There are plenty of moments in High Seas where the servers are empty and you don’t have to worry. As long as you’re in the habit of periodically checking the map table for any possible grade5 reapers near you or ships on the horizon, you’re all set.

the “1 out of 5 times” you didnt get robbed in high seas, you still made 20-30X more than you did the 5 times in safer seas. LOL. Critical thinking isnt for everyone and some people just want a chill game mode, but I am glad they dont reap the rewards with no risk.

@@xykane Did you hit your head before making this comment or are you really just this brain damaged? Rewards in Safer are 1/3 of High, it takes 3 runs in safer to make the same as 1 run in High. In what fucking universe is that 20-30x as much in one run on High? I know math is hard, but even a 3rd grader could do this math. I'm actually a little embarrassed for you right now lmao.

Personally as a newer player i love safer seas, dont get me wrong, high seas is very fun for a majority of the time, but honestly i still suck at the ship mechanics and its hard to get good when i get destroyed in a second. The Ai ships let me actually get used to the core mechanics of ship fighting. On top of that i play with my girlfriend who isnt used to these styles of games (which in sot it can get frustrating but I cant/wont blame her for not having the same level of knowledge) so it makes the experience alot easier and honestly more fun for her since we can explore and get used to mechanics before a highly more experienced team rolls our way.

Why they have so much of a problem with players who don't want to mix with the tri hards. It's like o you don't want to play ganking on others fine you can play but we take half the game away that you paid for it's pointless

The best and fastest way to make gold on Safer Seas is sea forts. get 2 or 3 people on your boat kill a fort leave 1 person behind to stack the loot and move to the next fort so on and so on.... NOTHING else is worth it especially the vaults not with the long walking distances.

Can you earn curses in safer seas?

Yes you can earn the Sunker Sorrow curse and the Shores of Gold curses.

To me, safer seas should start at 50% gold and rep, but because of the chance you get attacked by skel ships, any time you are sunk you only lose 50% of what you had before being sunk, anytime i stack ancient chests, a skel ship pops up and since i solo and never dealt with skel ships before, i always sink and lose all 30 (or more on weekends) ancient chests without the knowledge of memorizing where i was and sailing right back there before it despawns.

Same issue. Those skel ships are beyond annoying. It never fails, everytime I have my ship loaded with goods & ready to sail one will spawn right next to me.

The Ancient Chest are also found in Treasury’s tho in higher sea I still grind them when I want easy money I farm I go from Sunken Shores over to secret Wild and back and forth till we fill like it’s time to cash in

I would love for safer seas to be a server with other players. Everyone will be free from damage if another player attacks or rams your boat. If they want to jump onto your ship there will be a barrier not allowing you to aboard ship

The moment people realize its not about gold and getting economy in this game and about experience ... Is the day people might actually enjoy the game. :) (Like Playing arena after 250 wins ....when you no longer feel like you need something, it's better.)

Get higher lol on the high seas!

The best way to make gold in a “safe” way is to join or make an LFG in the high seas thats doing a server alliance. Thats your “safer seas” right there. As long as everyone in the alliance is contributing and pulling their weight and not slackin around you’re good to go. Just have people grind out some FOTDs, one group can grind sea forts, another can do the Athena Veil voyages or they can do the Treasuries/Mermaid Shrines or World Events. You make unbelievable $$$ in server alliances. Then when you’re skilled enough with a good crew you can grind out and stack emissary flags then sell them all at the end when you turn in your streak. BUT you should not do pvp with randoms. Find some friends or meet new people who play consistently so you guys get in the groove of having good communication between each other during combat.

People don’t want the anxiety of being ganked and being new to the game, one is obviously under qualified to keep up with pvp tactics, especially if one is solo. Bad comment.

For only 30% compared to HS, why bother...man up and go HS.
