Thats not how Burnout Paradise works. When a car has 10 points in the boost stat it means it will always go 200mph while boosting. The actual speed stat does not matter there as that only applies to driving without boost. So if the car now lets say has only 3 points in the speed stats it means it will only go 138mph BUT if it still has 10 in the boost stat it will reach all the way up to 200mph again. 9 points would be 195mph, 8 points are 190mph and so on. So if you are actually looking for the car with the best speed stat then its the Nakamura Rai-Jin Turbo as that thing has 10 points in speed and goes all the way up to 201mph.

killmichbp the fastest car is technically ten street rod because of a huge weight it carries, which sends is pelting down some hills, the fastest car with boost is the extreme hot rod and the fastest accelerating is the GT Nighthawk

The Annihilator picks up more speed going downhill though. It is the fastest car in BP and almost all legit road records were done in it.

For anybody wondering, the Speed stat affects your rate of travel without using boost. Cars with the same Speed stat will travel the same distance in the same amount of time when traveling at their max. There isn't a stat that lists acceleration so that's why I'm not talking about it. This is the same with Boost. Maxed out boost cars all travel the same distance in the same time when at max, while boosting. If one car has a Speed stat that matches the Boost stat of another, they'll travel the same distance/time at max using their respective stats. The exception to this is the P12 88 Special, that has a higher Speed stat when on the road, but a higher Boost stat when hovering.

The extreme hot rod is crazy. I remember the first time I boosted and watched the wing tilt down and exhaust pipes extend

I used this in the race from the motor city junkyard to wildcats stadium because it's a straight shot there. Had a 10 second advantage over every other car, and this was on the second highest license in the game (higher license causes NPC cars to be extremely faster than they usually are.)

What do you mean fastest? As in top speed or a drag race? If you're talking about raw top speed, the progression is more like 1. Annihilator Street Rod 2. Revenge Racer/25 V16 Revenge 3. Annihilator Phoenix/Annihilator 4. Civilian/Citizen 5. Inferno Van.

It's not faster than any boost 10 car. The reason you think it's that fast is because the camera effects change, its not actually gaining speed.

I love the extreme hot rod the best when you activate the boost it’s permanently on its so fast and difficult to drive but also so much fun seeing how far you can go before crashing at ridiculous speeds

The reason why you sometimes aren't getting boost mid-race isn't because of the car or the game glitching, it's because you're in first. See, when you're in first the game takes away your boost so that the other players can catch up (except for the Extreme Hot Rod which has infinite boost, it would probably prevent them from boosting if the player wrecks or stops).

"The boost locks on and you cant turn" well then you have no idea how to drift my boy

In any of the hot rods if you boost while drifting it won't.

The GT Nighthawk is the most devastating boost in the speed class from what I've played with... you can't let go of it or crash, and you will get a x2.x3,x4 etc boost refill... So the Blue, means you can't shut it off... the (yellow) speed class, you gain by any standard trick including not letting go of your boost so you get the refill... I think you has some settings tweaked...;)

You can exploit speed boost on the Hawker Mech by switching from stunt to speed boost while using stunt boost, making it so you don't have to wait until the speed boost gauge is completely full.

I play burnout since 2011, very nostalgic

It STILL says Hunter Extreme Hot Rod. HUNTER, when its manufacturer is actually Carson. Can't believe no one bothered changing that.

Yes Street Rod is quick, but it has the same speed/boost stats as PCPD Special, the latter of which can actually turn and as such is the game's best car for more technical routes. The PCPD Special is really just the best car to race with, however it's kinda hard to get, as are most other S Tier cars (except Rai-Jin Turbo and Extreme Hot Rod, those you can drive from the start)

Honestly, the fast car is the Montgomery Hawker Mech. You can burnout all you want. Until you cant, switch to stunt to drift your turns, and switch to burnout. Its a nice combo for a veteran.

Fastest cars: Revenge Racer & Rai-Jin Turbo (in reverse & also because of the Revenge Racer glitch.) GT Nighthawk (fastest accelerating car.) Annihilator Street Rod (can go over 300mph on N. Rouse Drive downhill.) Chrome Car??? (Not sure if this counts) Sone of the traffic cars??? (42 in total, and if you have a modded save on PS4/5 or PC mods then you can test which cars are faster) Edit: forgot about the Carbon Hawker (fastest/best boost drift car in the game) Edit 2: also forgot about the Extreme Hot Rod (fastest car in a straight line)

The Carbon X12 gives you more versatility for when you are able to boost. That is always what i went with, i know it isn't the fastest but it does allow you to race better.

Smoove because the Carbon X12 is a stunt boost car it means that it is more convenient for short bursts and also long burns where as with a speed boost you feel like you have to use that boost because otherwise you are not able to use it till it has built up again. As a track car I would take the carbon X12 over the boost specials or the Annihilator special any day

Skilled drivers will always get burnout streaks though. Your stunt car will run out of boost eventually. On top of that, it's slower than all the top racing cars when boosting too...

KaLubka that is true. I'm not saying my opinion is the best opinion because that's all it is. I started out being pretty bad at the game so I stuck to stunt cars and then slowly progressed. It is just what I'm use to by now

you can switch the Nitrous off in the Hot Rod. You have to brake (Left Trigger-L2) for a couple of seconds or do the Handbrake. 💯💯💯💯

So far I've got 65/75 cars and I think overall handling/Speed/ durability (which obviously allows you to maintain speed) goes to the 25 V16. *the default one. As the "Race" version is more sluggish on turning, and slingshots (tailwhips) if your riding the boost like you need to since that's also a speed class... "25 V16", and the "Carson GT Flame" my go to vehicles until something else pops up. All Rounders with intense speeds and turn/drift capable. The later a bit heavier and can take more of a hit but if you master it, few cars can catch you... There's 5-6 other great all rounders but they simply get out classed once you get past 50 cars... Those two hold up...

If you complete absolutely everything in the game, you will unlock a police special f1 car that is all chrome and is the fastest car in the entire game.

No, nothing is faster than the Annihilator Street Rod when it comes to raw top speed.

I have 57 of 64 road rules time when i left the game last night all done with extreme hot rod.

check out the carbon rides when you get them. they are some of the quickest of the 75 standard cars. Specwise the carbon hawker is the best. so hit some billboards!

The annihilator street rod is the fast overall and the extreme hot rod is the fastest but had to use

Pants please read this comment, set a custom race, start at the top of read lane, put 1 checkpoint going through the Lawrence tunnel, and make the finish at the coastguard hq, choose the annihilator street rod for the race and we’ll see how certain you are on which car REALLY is the fastest

the P12 88 Special is fast. The camera can't keep up with it. At least when it is on hover mode.

I basically used 3 cars to beat the entire main game (apart from Burning Routes) *88-Special* for Stunt *Extreme Hot-Rod* for Race *GT Nighthawk* for Road Rage and Marked Man

Swerve left and right using the brake to drift on the wrong side of the road to build up your boost fastest without any jumps or billboards in front of you

Carbon enzo with stunt boost was really fast

That's what i meant i like the smaller tight handling one even though it's less superior.. but that Nighthawk that looks like the 2 prior GT (newer ford like body, american muscle looking) cars, is totally broke...lol One things certain, that game was freaking awesome lol... to go through again, loved it the first time, and it was cool to revisit it. I still remember having the little ps3 camera and thought it was cool to make faces every time passing people lol... Probably better on the 360 but you get my point... great feel great dev.
