He was clocked before his surgery at that speed which is when he was in his prime. That is likely the fastest he ever bowled, if that is even accurate as the tech used was ropey compared to today's standards

Those worried about his speed can probably use stopwatch and calculate ball release as start time and when it reaches batsman as end time = duration in milliseconds, then how long is crease to crease = distance, finally speed = distance/duration should give us rough estimates of how fast he bowled.
