Glad Dave’s still going strong. He used to hang around the UWS where we were young bike punks and he’d tell us how we had to come to Jesus. He meant well, but I never listened.

I worked for Prometheus in the early 80s. Joanne was the best dispatcher. She would take modest doses of LSD and organize a table full of tickets, juggling boys all over Manhattan. I'd call her after a series of runs and she'd guess what corner I was at before I told her. B.W., the stock trading guy - I watched him cross 5th Ave and 59th street through a red light, sitting straight up, no hands on the bars threading through moving cars and disappearing between two box trucks. I also had to go pick up a package from a guy in the ER. But he wasn't a Prometheus guy. He was a dopey kid whose legs were smashed to bits. I mean smashed bad.
