Surely when you clean the seat next to the console any dirt you remove will fall back down onto the console and you're inevitably going to have to clean it again.

Yes! It’s obvious that you start with the seats, then do the carpet then do the upholstery then do the plastic surfaces!

Top to bottom , Back to front , centers first work your way out, hit the door last, 2 microfiber per quarter, the way you are useing your brush I like to use a “bug sponge and APC”

@@marlenegold280 Toyota had a class action lawsuit about their cars having an electrical problem. Car wires were being destroyed by rodents mainly squirrels and it was because of the coating of the wires being made from a soy based product

It doesn't look like you are wiping the whole side of the console. It looks like you're only wiping partway. It looks like you're not cleaning the part where it's a tight fit between the seat and the console. Do you clean that later?

Upgrading to a van soon but when I clean out my car I always start with the boot area cleaning it out cuz it's the messiest area and I'm going to clean everything else afterwards so any overspray doesn't matter

Skip the steamer. 90% of the time it doesn't make a difference. When I started I always used the steamer like this guy. It's not necessary, only when you have real sticky stuff.

@Morgan Asher you may need something acidic like vinegar or a professional acidic cleaner/rinse. I've found more acidic cleaners work best at getting rid of salt stains.
