I have a Trident and this one looks like a great untouched original that would make a great project bike. There are a lot of things that you can do to improve the bike in terms of reliability and ease of ownership, electronic ignition being at the top of the list. The engine is complicated and difficult to rebuild to ensure reliability and takes an expert to get the best from it. For the ultimate engine Re-build I would recommend Peckett Motorcycles in Brentford England who have years of racing experience with the Trident. They used their knowledge to build me a very reliable street motorcycle but if you want speed they can do that as well.

There's a head turner Fuzzy! Never seen an exhaust in a Y like that either. Nice colors. I rode yesterday and will ride today. It's cold but not like your area. At least you get triple time ogling over the gemstones. Sweet.

@@forgottenmotorcycles The four speed T150T came with the trople outlet "Ray Gun" silencers, the five speed T150V and T160V didn't. The T150V all chrome silencers and the T160V had those black cap silencers as stock fitment. The T150V was the first Trident with a front disc brake, it kept the drum rear brake, as seen in this video the T160V had discs front and rear. The chrome is coming off that front disc, the chrome will be on the brake pads and as chome is very hard it will score the disc if left unbtreated. I used to own a T160V with a Norman Hyde 871cc big bore kit installed, I had the chrome skimmed off both brake discs and changed the pads for new ones, it improved the stopping power with the bare cast iron discs. If you want to keep the stock look, you can have the discs re-hard chromed and change the pads. The pads are the same as those on an Austin Mini Cooper S, i used the car pads on my Trident as they cost 1/3 the price of pads from a Triumph motorcycle dealership.
