Nicely done!
Beautiful. I often wondered what the initial movement of the right hand, turning palm side up before gripping the hilt, signifies ?

Thank You 🙏. My teacher is Sugawara Sensei and his Teacher was Otake Sensei.
Nice technique. Not sure how practical the kneeling posture is in practice. Most situations would call for standing. Which I am sure the sensei could proform flawlessly

I agree, not as practical as the standing training. Actually, seated is much more demanding from a skills perspective. Becoming proficient in the seated position definitely magnifies improvement for the standing position. Here is an example Of the standing position. kzread.info/dash/bejne/lqNs0rafY6TMirA.html

@@paulfrank1777 That's interesting. When shooting rifles for example seated is considered to be much easier, but I guess with swords the stress is similar to a Cossack Dance where you don't get the benefit of being steady, but rather have to put more muscles in balance while doing a dynamic action.

I'm very sorry, but this is a disaster, it's not authentic katori shinto ryu.... please don't confuse, don't cheat. :-(
