Hello, Could you please review the new members mark 16 in rotating pizza oven? I’m on the fence on whether I want one or a capt’n cook oven.

Just bought a used/new oven and I got it up to 850 degrees before shutting off gonna try cooking my first pie tonight but it says to turn down the oven every like 15 seconds while it’s cooking

I am on the fence about having a pizza oven. Roccbox looks really great... but if making pizza at home turns out to be something that is not my jam... then I have a $500 paper weight. If I dont like this one Sam's Club has a pretty generous return policy. You mentioned that you get what you pay for in your review. But to put it a different way, if I am not going to spend more than $200 on a pizza oven, is this one a good value?

You don't need a pizza oven to make great pizza. I've been using my oven and a pizza stone for years now. Do that first before you spend big money on a dedicated device.

Any tips on how to clean the stone?

Looks like they just released a 16" auto rotating one at sams club you might want to check out.

got these in Australia under the jumbuck name, had the same experience as you, the peel i reckon is to rough, took to long to heat up in my opinion over 30 minutes

What table or specific stand do you have your ovens on? Or do you have one you’d recommend?

That table is actually a local find from facebook - it's made by a company who manufactures clean room equipment for research labs. Happens to be an awesome height for a pizza table. I definitely recommend looking on FB marketplace for a used stainless steel table, but if there are not in your area, I have an article here with some of my favorites: palapizza.com/best-ooni-pizza-oven-tables/

They have a 16 inch with rotating stone now for 299. Can you review?

They are on sale in chicago area for like 70 bucks each.

@@palapizzaovens I suspect its just not something sams club people are not into. The 200 price tag turned me off it to begin with considering there js no wood fire option.

Yeah picked up one to try in Texas for $129 then saw it on sale for $89 and got the difference refunded. Still haven’t opened it lol. It’ll be my first pizza oven so maybe worth a try. Need to finish the watching video

The second one You should have left it in a bit longer it’s kinda light looks like it would have been fine with an extra 30-60 seconds

I have one and the stone gets to 900+. Likely a defective unit in this review

It could also be something with the gas bottle. I picked up one of these ovens and the flame was huge, rolling out the front. Got a new gas bottle when the old one ran out and now the flame is more like the one in the video. I've tried 'resetting' the regulator but it always happens, seems to be the same on my BBQ too.

Are you sure you didn’t have a defective unit? I can’t believe the flames are not visible.

it looks like it is more of a BBQ burner unit installed. All the other higher end gas ovens use a more diffused burner which usually gives you orange flames instead of a pure blue jet.

@@nicholaslutz4 I saw another video review where you could see the flames. Also, the packaging shows flames (could be just marketing, but if so, it's false advertising).

I have a rebranded one sold by 'jumbuck' in Aus and NZ. The flames roll over the roof and lick out the front of my one. I also get rise/leoparding not as nice as the gozney in this video but definitely nicer than the members mark in the video.
